Week 31 - Results & Tables

Every week there will be a series of fixtures (or questions) for you to predict the results of. This will be a perfect chance for you to show how much you know about football (or how little) and prove that you are the smartest Ipswich fan. The 2023/24 season will feature the Main Competition including a repeat of last years Promotion/Relegation format and the popular addition of the 'Head to Head' Competition. We will also play for the coveted TB Cup which will commence in January 2024, which is based on the FA Cup!

High score two weeks in a row for Tangfastic ......, that's some surge up that individual table.

Yes Tang has definitely dragged himself back into contention, miss Tangs posts though, used to enjoy reading his opinions etc.

Very well done in the H2H Shed, you came up with a big score at just the right time !! GIT

Hell, I'm dropping quicker than an Osmium-weighted stone!

Was so disappointed that on the final whistle I was celebrating 5 points for the 5 shots on target, only for it to be later upgraded to 6! I don't think I'm the only one to have suffered similarly of late?

Only half a dozen players could have beat you this week Mike and you managed to find one of them, hard luck mate but well done to Shed, a very good win Tony.👏👏👏

 Cheers Mike, pure fluke as that’s the highest score I’ve got all season. As they say “ it’s better to be lucky than good”.

Is Shed going to do what I believe Charny did last year (correct me if I'm wrong) and march all the way to the final and win it?

Don’t think there is much chance of that as no doubt normal service will soon be resumed!

You’re absolutely correct Mark, I’d honestly forgotten that but do recall scraping in from nowhere. This year was totally opposite as I was walking it early on with nobody even close and then collapsed big style.

Great credit to Mike for this competition in that I somehow finished top of the table last season. However, I seem to have reverted to type this season!

Your forgetting who they have to play in the Final. I won't be going down that easy 🤣

And how the blazes could you forget that? Jaysus H, if that was Team M69, it’d be getting brought up every week.

I’ve forgotten much of last year Marko, some of it down to the severe blasting of radiotherapy and chemo to my head, and some conveniently erased as my way of dealing with it.

The good news is my life is back on track and apart from a few unpleasant side effects life is very good. 👍

Great stuff, Charnwood 👍👌

That is actually the opposite for my Scott. Him
& his wife were over for dinner on Sunday and everyone was there including the stepsons and their wives……. Conversation of the soccer started……. Scotty was talking about goals scored by certain players from the early naughties and where they were scored from.
“Mind that absolute peach from big mixu at McDairmid Park, dad? Right hand side, just outside the box, top bag?” 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ (no clue)
Officially he had a glioblastoma larger than a tennis ball, but where it was, upper left hemisphere must be no where near the memory function. Its really crazy the stuff he remembers.

One more:
“Remember that time where you were going to go into blockbuster and get me and Daryll (daughter) a ps1 game. Then i tooted your van horn, frightened an old lady and you got all pissed off and said, nope, no games!” 🤷‍♂️
Absolutely zero recollection of that. Or maybe that tumour is making him make sh*t up!
He did follow up with , “wasn’t long before you and mum split up”…….., so i was obviously stressed out. 🤦‍♂️

Hats off though to all medical science and the cancer research teams because Scotty and yourself are testimony that we are going in the correct direction in terms of hopefully beating cancer. 🙏🙏🙏

You’re not wrong there Marko. Whilst we’re not all lucky cancer certainly isn’t always the end of life sentence it used to be. Thank god for that. 🙏👍👌
