BLAST FROM THE PAST 'The Tractor-Boys.com Songbook'

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Would love it, if we get promoted and sing this tune, would be classic :lol:

At least change the lyrics slightly. Cos I assume you know why FC United sing the lyrics 3 o'clock on a saturday?

"One more step along the world I go"

OK, it's a hymn which seems slow - but I can picture a change in lyrics and more of atmopsheric feel to it and it will be great in the North Stand. Any ideas for lyrics? :lol:

Thats very true khurst, it would not be easy as they dont know the
words to the usual songs at Portman Road either..

lol, no...there would only be like 1 verse then the "refrain"

But it could be tricky. If someone comes up with some lyrics then we can weigh up how hard we think it'll be :D

One more step along the world I go,
one more step along the world I go;
from the old things to the new
keep me traveling along with you:
Refrain:
And it's from the old I travel to the new;
keep me traveling along with you.

So just edit those words

Don't even mention "winning the league" to them. It's like ur suggesting they have a chance.

To the tune of "Baby give it up"....

"Na na na na na na na na na na, Pim Balkestein, Balkestein!, PIM BALKESTEIN!"

Perhaps.

It works better for Arran Lee-Barrett :lol:

I would change 'From the East' to 'From Portman Road'

I thought that but Portman Road doesn't really fit, and after all we're the pride of the east or east anglia to be precise :wink:

Edit - Doesn't sound too bad with Portman Road actually, will have to try and get it going Saturday :lol:

You're nothing but kittens at the pitbulls milk

kittens at the pitbulls milk

You were enjoying a guzzle without fear of a muzzle

and all you can manage now is a few tentative slurps and it's no skin of my nose
