Yep, I'll second that, old Riv talks some BS at times, but this is the truth. The Don wrote:Are they? Good as I'm going to be at the O2 next Fridays and Saturday and apparently it's then there.Riviera wrote:Muse are superb live, fingers crosed thay dont play the new album though, its sh*te!

Seeing Radiohead at the o2 this year, they were brilliant.Riviera wrote:Well i've only been to two and they were within weeks of eachother, U2 in Cardiff and Muse at their home coming gig in Teignmouth.
U2 were fantastic, everything i expected, but Muse with only 10,000 people tops it.
U2 are obviously old hats at playing for 50,000 and really gave it everything despite a very long tour, But Muse really seemed to want to be there, really wanted to blow everybody away, and they did, they also insisted on local bands for the support acts which went down well.
Ps.....Eddie you are barred from this thread![]()

I'm off to the stones again tonight.
It appears they need five days between gigs now in order to recover bless them.

All the fans afterwards were saying they were amazing, but I wouldn't have gone that far. They still have the appeal, but jagger struggles to jut around the stage, Richards looks dug up and they had a brief break after every couple of songs bless them.
It was certainly better than Marilyn Manson the next night
I did meet Noel Gallagher though, so well chuffed with that.

I'm going to see The Killers at Wembley in June which is my first ever show so it will be the best no matter what
To say that I'm excited would be an incredible understatement.

Muse are a funny one, I only really like about 3 of their songs and would never buy or listen to a Muse album, but live they are absolutely amazing.

I only have the DVD and wasn't there, but I would have loved to have seen that Groove Armada concert at the Brixton Academy circa 2002 I think

Listening to the Old Brum Beat Rockers at Sills in Solihull - especially when the late great Kelly Groucutt of ELO got up and sung "The Fox"
More recent - Leanne Rimes at the O2.
The worst:
Tom Jones - CIS Dance Hall - Manchester 1968
1500 people dancing on the sprung floor paying absolute no attention to the Wally on the stage thrusting his hips like some demented Jon trying to get his monies worth.

The Killers were absolutely incredible last night, even though it was my first show I really doubt it can be topped. Now it's over

J4ck, get yourself down the front, (or near the front) at the next Iron Maiden gig near you. Even if you don't like the music, the show will blow the killers out of sight. And trust me, you'll leave loving the music, everyone does.

To be fair, it would have been much better if I was in the standing area rather than way up in the seats so it could easily be topped, although first experiences and all...

For quite some time I also felt the way you do about that first gig, but I went to many more gigs and although I still have a special place in my heart for that first gig, I have been to many better since.J4ck22 wrote:I see what you did there.Herbivore wrote:It will be topped, don't fret.J4ck22 wrote:The Killers were absolutely incredible last night, even though it was my first show I really doubt it can be topped. Great supporting band, Mike and the Mechanics, and Sea Lion, she was brilliant especially with her special guest Andrea Bocelli who is also the last singer I saw live at Birmingham last year, a real class performer.
