What are you listening to?

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

It certainly did. I remember an interview with Ronnie James Dio regarding his “Magica” concept album and basically saying the kids have discovered the thing they call grunge. He thought Magica was better than Holy Diver but it flopped a bit.

I remember YEARS ago my son did that French exchange thing with the school. He went to the south of france for a week, and they all came over to Scotland a few weeks later. Was around 1999/98…….. they were ALL into the band called “Offspring” (or THE offspring) ……. Jeezo they were all mental for it. The lads all with black eyeliner on etc etc.

Yep, , Dio’s days were numbered.

Hmmm. Yep. Heard that a lot. Dionne War-Wick.

You never hear, “And now the racing results from War-Wick.”

And was never War-Wick Farm train station near my house in Sydney, Oz. 🤔

“Yeah, i do like dionne warwick.”
“Err, its War-Wick.”
“No its not, fk off.”

My mum grounded me for that.

Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small.

Found a copy of Odessa in a regional junk shop this week. Bloody hell.

Yesterday was a very impulsive day when out n about with the 13 year old granddaughter. Walking through South Queensferry having an Ice Cream, sun was shining......, she said, "You know Papa, I have never been over that Railway bridge." ......, "WELL!! LETS GO!" (This does tie in with the rain eventually)

Walked up to the station, two return tickets to Inverkeithing with a 30 minute turnaround. Great seeing her trying to control her excitement going over the bridge. (She tries to be cool all the time!)......., Coffee at the Inverkeithing Greggs shop, then back.

Walking back to where the car was parked ---->>> Africa rain....., most likely like the stuff crashing on your window, Mike.

I do miss those East Anglian summers.

I have to put up with this, according to tomorrow's forecast.

Thankfully winter is short.

Rain
A nice album. Bought it many years ago along with about 10 Spirit albums. An excellent guitarist, very sad and to his life.

That’s a head bang aneurysm in the making. Like it better than the previous post Rain, though. I’d probably slit my wrists on that one.

Burt Bacharach - My Little Red Book
If I’m not mistaken, that’s the Burt Bacharach audio but looks like Love in the video. Love’s version off their first album in around 1966 was the first version I heard.

Saw the latest version of Love (Johnny Echols is I think the only original member still alive) a couple of weeks back. Strange to see a band where most of the members weren’t born when the originals were recorded.

Bacharach wrote it, Arthur covered it, someone mashed the two together for the video.

Did not know that there was a reincarnation of Love still going.
