Hello guys and gals, wish me luck!

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Hello guys and gals, wish me luck!

I'm off out in a second or two to take part in my semi-final for the Laughing Horse New Act Competition and I have to say I'm absolutely "bricking it"!

I've never been this nervous before a gig not even my first one!

Despite having a snooze this afternoon I still feel knackered and I feel so underprepared, like a lad who's sitting an exam that he hasn't revised for!

Oh well, fingers crossed it'll go okay (I'm not expecting to go through to the final to be honest but I just hope I give a good account of myself!).

Hope you all have a good evening and think positive thoughts for me!

All the best mate, break a leg or if you lose then break the judges leg.

If there's a blonde about ask what the name of the ship is in the film Mutiny on the Bounty.

Suprising how many get it wrong.

Hi peeps,

Just got back from the gig.

Had a fantastic night, the standard of the acts was absolutely top notch...needless to say I didn't get through to the final but I just was pleased to hold my own and not look out of place amongst so many good acts!

There were 13 acts and at least 5 or 6 of them were fantastic, they didn't just make me laugh they really made me PMSL!!!

I went down well and got some good laughs and the promoter has offered me more gigs but to be honest tonight I saw people who are a long way ahead of me (then again I've done 12 gigs including tonight and most of the acts had done 50+, maybe even a 100 or more gigs!).

You might think that I'm downbeat because I didn't go through to the final but to be honest it's quite the opposite, tonight has made me realise why I'm doing this (to make people laugh...a lot!) and has given me a lot of pointers as to how to get better.

It's quite rare now that I enjoy a gig this much, most acts I see now make me smile but rarely much more whereas tonight I was laughing like a drain!

Sorry if this post is long and boring but I've come home full of adrenaline (and alcohol!) and felt the need to share this with you guys!

Also I'd like to say thanks for all your messages of support, you might be surprised that they mean so much to me but they really do!

Thanks everyone, have a great day tomorrow those of you off to Burnley (and everyone else of course!) and I really look forward to seeing lots of you at Portman Road in just over a weeks time (the Preston game).

Thanks freeblue, I wasn't really looking forward to tonight but ended up having a fantastic laugh.

I love making people laugh and hopefully I'm getting better at doing it!

Tonight was a real eye opener which showed me that although I've come a long way (in a short space of time!) there is an awful long way to go!
