I just checked it myself, they are the same.

It's to do with how your mind perceives things, it sees that it a checkered pattern and that the shadow is there and decides that the colour can't possibly be the same even though it is. Result, you see it as a lighter colour than it is.

Colour is a VERY strange thing, because so much is about the minds perception of it, not what it actually is!

Is it only me who it didnt effect? maybe as the last one my mum called me i turned round then that thingy came at me so i kinda missed it
