Ohio, the niners have traded picks in order to acquire Colt McCoy from the Browns.
Any chance you can give me a bit of background on him? As a QB I'm guessing he's being brought in as backup for Kaepernick

Yea, he will definately be a backup I would think. He went to Texas, real nice kid..."yes sir, no sir" and all that. Although he started 21 games for the Browns, they have never warmed to him saying that he was too small and did not have the arm strength for the NFL. Personally I hope he does well for the Niners, very likeable guy, but I dont see him taking over the starter role.

It'll be interesting to see where Menelik Watson ends up. He seems like a nice bloke, and he's English.

A mock draft is saying the Niners need a safety so look for one being drafted in first round Don

Re: NFL Draft Chat
I am trying to think, off the top of my head, of all the teams I have seen on here...
The Niners are set for next year. They drafted a safety out of LSU in the first round, and had a solid overall draft, especially with a TE in the second round. Look for them to make noise next year again Don.
The Packers also did well in the draft and are going to be, well, the Packers. Contenders all the time. Two RBs is a good thing to help on the offense.
The Lions did pretty well getting a DE and CB off the bat to help shore up their defense. If Suh gets therapy, they should be able to contend for the division, but it is the Lions and hard to tell what they will do.
My Browns...I dont think they know their as*es from a hole in the ground. New owner comes in after buying the majority from Randy Lerner, and he is being investigated by the FBI on fraud with his company. New coach who is unproven, and a new GM who I think is a moron. Think of Keane as GM and PJ as coach. Their draft was a dice roll at best, picking sixth and getting an unproven DE as they shift their defense again. FFS.
Is there any other teams people like on here, or one I missed number 9?

Have to admit, I chuckled after the Keane/PJ statement. However, I think you've overlooked one of the best teams in the NFL. Dallas of course have been disparaged for the Jones' draft management. Personally, I think they did alright. They've acquired an all star Recvr w/ Terence, and the RunBk fm OK and a half-sec Center. Romo will win a playoff gm this year...mark my words.Ohiotractorboy wrote:I am trying to think, off the top of my head, of all the teams I have seen on here...
