It's over under time for NFL fans...

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

It's over under time for NFL fans...

Post by Ohiotractorboy » Thu Aug 08, 2013 7:48 pm

Okay bluemike, marko, Don, and anyone else who follows the NFL, time to make predictions on the over/under for wins this season. Here are our teams...wagers anyone???

Bluemike's Packers are 10 1/2. I will say 11 games is tough, but they are the Pakcers. I will go over

Don's Niners are a whopping 11 1/2. 12 wins? oof, I am picking them to win the Super Bowl, but I think they will be 11-5. I am going with the under on them.

marko's Lions are 7 1/2. I never know what to do with the Lions. Potential abounds, results dont always follow suit. I think they can go at least 8-8 this year, and going over

Finally, my little Brownies are 6 1/2. Seeing how hell hasnt frozen over yet, I am going under on them as I will never predict 7 wins for them at this point.

Anyone else who follows a team, let me know

I've already put a bet on for a 7-9 Lions season this season, Ohio.

Don't care what the 9ers do, but I hope the fudge packers crash & burn. Sorry Mike, division rival and all that. Really looking fwd to Sept 29th and Bears @ FF. First real "derby" match.

GO LIONS!!!

Definitely fancied for the play-offs but they always are.

Teams to look out for this season, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, ....., along with the usual Packers, Patriots and 9ers.

I've put £50 on the Broncos @ 10's.

But GO LIONS anyway....., (currently 50/1)

Yes Mike. Over/under is a different type of bet to spread betting. To keep it simple, the bookies pick a number, say 11.5 for the 9ers and you would bet if they will win more or less than the number. So to go over, SF would have to win 12 games, or under would be 11 or less.

Whilst I still fancy us to make the SB, 12 is a bit of a push so ill to under.

Dare I say the Cowboys will win their division at 9-7? I'm not betting on it though...

Cowboys are 8 1/2, so going over. I never know what to make of them year to year either. I will go under as I think Giants and Redskins have their number.

BTW, did you watch the vid I posted on Teaching Americans Football? The Cowboys come up

Oh yeah, I actually heard about it last week. It's friggin hilarious! I love it when he's like, "When we make the playoffs...oh, there are no playoffs!"

Lions arriving in Cleveland this weekend, Ohio. Prediction?

I'll say 33-21 LIONS.

So hard to tell pre-season. The fourth quarter, when a normal NFL game is being decided, is played by a bunch of guys who wont be on the team.

23-21 Browns! Get my wins in when I can

Glory Hunter ;) Apparently they're the biggest supported NFL team here so you're in good company. Lucky escape today as well with Brady not being as serious as first thought.

Skins look like losing another QB with Cousins being injured last night. What's the story with RG3? He back and ready yet?

I think I'm gonna plump with a niners/broncos bowl

Cowboys v Bengals tonight! It is the last preseason game for Cowboy's starters to make amends. Will the Cowboy's show up? Or, will this be another prelude to a painful season? I've gotta find some better teams to support!

^^^ It's ok, buddy. I do understand your point. The infamous 2008 Lions season which ended 0-16......, they won all 4 preseason games?! LOL.

I just like seeing a winning Lions result!
