Lakenheath AFB

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Lakenheath AFB

Hey guys, how close is Lakenheath to Ipswich? I know it is in East Anglia. Is it Tractor Boy or Budgie territory? My brother is going to be stationed there which only heightens my need to get over there for a Ipswich game at Portman Road.

In Suffolk, maybe 30, 35, miles north-west of Ipswich. Only a stones throw from the county line with Norfolk.

The Air Base is pretty much equidistant from Norwich (43 mls) and Ipswich (46mls)... and journey time to both is just over an hour.

I guess your brother can lean whichever way takes his fancy, but having lived in both my heart would always unreservedly say Ipswich but my head would say Norwich which is a great place to live.

.... did I really say that.

He isnt a soccer fan, yet, but I told him living in England for four years is bound to change that. I will be heading over during that time to visit him and take in a game at PR!
