Well done Rory McIlroy on winning this years Open.
To put this win in perspective 3 Major's by age 25 has only previously been achieved by Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
My successful £5 win at 16/1 was somewhat overshadowed by Rory's fathers £100 bet at 500/1, placed when Rory was age 15 ....that he'd win The Open by age 25.
I'm sure there are many more Majors to be won by this tremendous young golfer.
The 2014 Open Championship.

Re: The 2014 Open Championship.
After yesterdays success winning the US Open at Valhalla Rory McIlroy now has 4 Major Titles to his name and is still only 25.
His latest win means McIlroy has equalled the number of majors won by Jack Nicklaus at the same age, although he has some way to go to threaten the American's record total of 18.
If he can maintain his current level of performance he has every chance of being the first man to threaten Jack's amazing record since a Tiger Woods fell by the wayside.

He is clearly pick up the banner to lead golf forward with Tiger's demise. How long can it last though? That finish over the weekend was fantastic.
