Cowboys have won 17 straight home games...I hope it continues against the Pack for number 18.

Re: NFL Time!!!
The 9ers done an “FA CUP” and rested everyone. I reckon they’re the Super Bowl champions. Tipped them from the start.
I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if the Leos can get past their achilles heel and win a play off game. It’d be some achievement by Dan Campbell & Co after the Matt Patricia years

Its actually still being classed as a rebuild year. Getting this far has been nothing short of unbelievable.

Re: NFL Time!!!
The Rams also rested some of their starters. 49ers were my pick too, but I’m now thinking Baltimore as long as Lamar doesn’t get injured.marko69 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2024 8:20 pmThe 9ers done an “FA CUP” and rested everyone. I reckon they’re the Super Bowl champions. Tipped them from the start.

Re: NFL Time!!!
for a time thought Minnesota would make it through. There were standout games and wins, provided hope and expectation but the consistency wasn't there and we miss out on postseason games. Knew the team wouldn't win it, there's things you can expect and those clearly out of reach but would have been fun to go that extra step and take on the final stages. Showpiece at Allegiant only a short time away now and seems old rivals could face-off one more time at final event. Ravens / 49'ers etc although games throughout have thrown up a whole load of surprises thus far.

Re: NFL Time!!!
Think Mike said “f*ck the Pack” earlier in the season
……. But they turned that around big time. Really thought the Cowboys would've taken care of business tonight. The bookies thought so even more.
Incentive for the Leos…….. f*ck the sheep and it’ll be the Pack up next.

Re: NFL Time!!!
NFC:
Lions v Bucs
9ers v Pack
AFC:
Ravens v Texans
Bills v Chiefs
—————
Lets have an NFL prediction league
My prediction:
NFC
Leos having to go to 9ers. (Sorry Mike, cant see the Pack winning in San Fran although i’d prefer it. That way Lions would be @ home for the NFC Champ game ….., v the Pack….., what a game that’d be
)
Of course, jinxed it……. Buccaneers rock up at FF and create havoc
AFC
Ravens v Bills in Champ game.
————-
If its a lions v 9ers champ game, will say a Ravens v 9ers SB ……. And that’ll be a close contest.
If its a Lions v Pack Champ game, will say a Lions v Ravens SB……… and one step too far for the Leos.
Ravens win
—————-
Disclaimer: None of the above happens.

Re: NFL Time!!!
Pack win in SF then in Detroit or Tampa?
Will be very surprised if that comes to fruition.
SF V pack will be close, but the 9ers at home (with tons at stake) will get the job done.
There was a SF v Ravens SB few years back with the Harbaugh brothers as opposition coaches. I remember it only because my father in law died that night.

Re: NFL Time!!!
DEEEEEEEETROIT LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
FKN YES!!!
Followed them since 91 and its FINALLY, the NFC CHAMP game v the San Fran 9ers. Unbelievable really.
Really happy for the Detroit based fans. Its like they’ve been following Hibernian for the past 6 decades.
Good to make a Super Bowl, but if they dont, no big deal…….. getting to the NFC final is in the realms of dreams.

Re: NFL Time!!!
If it had’ve been the Pack, would’ve been at Ford Field. Can only assume that if the NFC game was Leos v Pack ——>> same ol lions syndrome wouldve transpired. The Packers are the Lions’ Jambos. Would’ve choked….. and GB wouldve had yet another SB appearance.
To be at last 4 and for Lions to be in there ?? Is it really happening?
Chiefs v Ravens in the other game. A toss of the coin on that. Chiefs offense awesome, Ravens defense the best in the NFL, so who knows there.
For the Lions to beat 9ers AND Chiefs or Ravens? Just cannot see it. But the fans are very hopeful based on how close the pack ran the 9ers in San Fran. There is hope.

Re: NFL Time!!!
It is an incredibly bum squeaky sport. I didnt manage to catch the packers v 9ers but the last 4mins of the Leos Bucs game really did have that possible same old lions theme.
They went 31-17 up. 4mins left, Bucs had the ball. It was 4th & 14 and all they needed was a stop…….. but the bucs Hail Mary’d it for a 1st down. They then got to TD, 31-23……. Then the Lions fkd up offense, Bucs ball, and they had a real chance of 31-31 with a TD plus extra 2.
Basically went from 14 point lead and a 4th & 14 situation, ……., before you could blink, there is a draw and OT on the cards.
Home based Detroit fans must've been biting nails to the knuckles.
For the Lions……. To put into perspective…… they havent been this far since 12 years BEFORE I was born! (1957)

Re: NFL Time!!!
Yep, very true….. same ol lions is definitely a thing.
I’ll tell you what, they “may” have a chance v the 9ers, (i dont think so, backed 9ers from the off)…… but had it been the main division rival and those packers for the champ game ……. Waaaaaay too much pressure on Campbell & Goff, they’d have choked and It would've been soul destroying for them.
There is defo less pressure on them v the 9ers even though its in SF.
Betting at mo
1 49ers 17/11
2 Ravens 21/10
3 Chiefs 7/2
4 Lions 17/2
Lions……… no chance!

Re: NFL Time!!!
I'd pick 49'ers to win if only to exorcize demons from years before. They were over time the most successful in it in competition history but fallen away due to recent winners from elsewhere. Detroit have done well up to this point, real well but need to ask how long can they really hold out once again against far more illustrious opponents in next game.
Not sure how would feel with another Ravens win / main event as last appearance holds personal feelings but Kansas (defending champions anyhow) should prove an obstacle that prevents final progress. There's been (from an own standpoint) hope, expectation and eventual disappointment throughout the season but just kind of feel a SF victory to ease concerns or some level of solution.
