Where is that venue

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

You're simply supposed to provide a best guess with each clues supplied. If you know the answer even better

One last time, please no breach of fair play

The latest question, is it Maine Road Manchester
Can I ask where you get the questions for this comp?
I don't think this comp can run without using Google as a reference for the questions so why not use it to get the answers too.
Maybe we need to vote on this or start a NEW comp where Google can be used .

Is it the One Call Stadium in Mansfield I know that's a small ground but not sure wolves played there tho.
Could be the sort of ground that could have held 31,000 years ago.

I don't know I really don't know, guess it's somewhere close to Wolverhampton so will try a shot at Kidderminster, they play at Aggborough stadium I believe.

PS Told you once before BlueBlood the information is from a Sports publication that featured a section on soccer venues of the World. If I were to use other stadia as a round I would put together factual information I was aware of, not use reference for assistance.

You're not supposed to cheat damn it, or use reference

Sorry and you're not alone in this, but the purpose of these things is to use your own knowledge - not other peoples

I'd ask that no further instances of this are seen again - please do not use searches if you do not know the answer, it spoils it for other participants and it's not really deserving of another attempt.
Is that not Google before it went high tech ?
I may be wrong but is that using a form of reference that is not your own .!
Sports publication reference using a sports publication surly is using it as a reference ???????? not other peoples .
NO photo,s allowed either so G&B is out too.......
This game wont last much longer if you have to rely on players general knowledge of grounds.
How will players come up with the questions without a Sports Publications .....
I think only 5 are playing this......

You better check with Saint if that is accepted as the correct answer Grimsby Town is the football club NOT the Venue.
Not sure weather he will like this as the comp is where is that venue meaning the name of the ground or stadium.

As originator, why not be some official adjudicator - Very well, as the name of the club NOT the venue was the last response, I don't think we can accept that as a fair response.

However : Gold and Black did supply the correct venue thereafter so guess we can look the other way this time and allow the participant in question to take the next round.

This ground was built in 1898 and opened in 1899.
The record attendance was over 75k .
The four stands are named after the 4 points on the compass, although better know as other names,
This stadium also briefly hosted American football

I believe it's somewhere in Yorkshire but can't target any better than that.

Probably incorrect but taking a shot with Elland Road, Leeds

no to Wembley, Croke ParK, or Elland Road,

Clue; plans are set to move this ground to Northumberland, although they were hoping to move to a ready built stadium.
This stadium was the setting for a major European final. and a part of a first to happen in the country of this stadium.
