Who said that?

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

No, but I can see the quotes a Monkhousesque style of joke. Maybe it was a Monkhouse joke... but this person would be unlikely to be a Monkhouse fan. And he’s a sportsman.

What happened with this, this used to be regular ongoing. Did the last participant realize they got control of the game ? Seems to have faded into insignificance.

Take or leave it, one to be going on with (as no-one else seems bothered)

"Diane was right, the world is changing. Music is changing, drugs are changing, even men and women are changing. One thousand years from now, they'll be no guys and no girls, just w*nkers. Sounds great to me"

I’m thinking Trainspotting for some reason. Was it Renton... Ewan McGregor?

Gregory’s Girl actor? The line is definitely in that film......., most watched film in my collection. If it’s in trainspotting, then they nicked it from GG.

I've seen Gregorys Girl maybe, five, six times, and don't recall that quote in the film. Not saying anyone's wrong or right, only that it deserves another viewing at a future time.

Yes it was Trainspotting. Ewan McGregor's Mark Renton at a club with Robert Carlyle's Begbie. The latter made an error of sorts which led to something subsequent as : "Look, I'm not a fooking boofty and that's the eend of eet" (?)

Tangfastic has got itself a new round.

Marko seemed pretty sure it was Gregory’s Girl. Maybe they did steal it from Gregory’s Girl... both Scottish classics.

I cant say I knew the quote, but the reference to drugs and music pushed me towards Trainspotting.

Try this:

“I feel like a pig shat in my head.”

Best I could find, Saint. The idea definitely lifted from the classic Gregorys Girl.
Watch 45:00 to 45:55 to get the general idea.
How could you forget that scene? Did you fall asleep?

No.

This is from a film. Actor or character is good enough.

Yeah definitely there or very similar. Probably cheekily sneaked into Trainspotting as a tribute to Gregory’s Girl.

No.

From a cult 80’s film, although the film was set at an earlier period - late sixties.

Can only spare a moment but believe it's Withnail and I.

Richard E Grant character, (which) spends most of it's screentime inebriated or suffering hangover effects. Seen this title numerous times, it's something of a favorite picture. The last pointers (may have) literally gave it away.

As it's been Fourth of July..

"I'm here on the United States side of the Texas / Mexico border. I'm here to prove a point."

"You see, this is the most poorest part of our entire border. It's basically uninhabitated and unpatrolled. This is where hundreds of thousands of illegal
immigrants cross this border each and every year."

"Mexicans who come to our country and pay no taxes. I'm an American, I grew up in the state of Texas. I made a fortune in this country that we call
America. So I know what these type of people do to our economy."

"They take advantage of our healthcare system, our welfare system, they send all their money back to Mexico. They look to people like me who have to support
people like them. It's like half of America, it's like half of the state of Texas. I know, I grew up here."

"They're lazy, they look to government like it's big brother. It's like please give me a handout. It's why people like me who made my own money, have such
outrageous taxes, to pay for people.."

"I told you it wouldn't be long, I told you. And now I'm going to prove my point, I'm going to prove my point. Right there, there's a whole herd of
Mexicans. The government won't do anything about it, the IRS won't either. Texas is too scared, Texas is a bunch of cowards"
