Who said that?

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Denis Irwin (Manchester United)
That's right it was Denis Irwin all along. Speaking out on the World Cup '94 event when the Irish played - and beat - Italy at the New York Giants stadium.

Wolfie...., its ok to muck about and still get points. That 36 points for me was bought and paid for......, I've got 9's bank details. Don't tell anyone about this "pm" though.

Couldn't believe the huns got a four goal win at Pittodrie. Hell a few years recent they were as extinct as Third Lanark and now look at it, real threat of winning the championship again. Damn rat raced Gerrard behind it all only adds insult to injury but going to leave it there before saying something I may just regret.

Named after Denis Law with same spelling. And Dennis Bergkamp was also named after Law, but two “N’s”. Never understood that.

Bro in law, Avid Man Utd fan and arsehole, named the nephew after Alex Ferguson, but his name is Aleks. What the fk? Which Is exactly what I asked.

Looks like it’s Charnwood turn. I’ll guess Seve Ballesteros?

Think your on the right lines there BLUE.

my guess is . Lawrence Oates: I am just going out. I might be some time.
The following night, according to Scott's diary entry, in the early morning of 16 March 1912, Oates said to his colleagues: "I am just going outside and may be some time." Then, without going through the painful exertion of putting on his boots, he stepped outside into a raging blizzard and temperatures of -40.0 °C (-40 °F) to face certain death.

The actual quote was:
“Just on way out. And I don’t mind telling you, I’m f**king bricking it.”

Then he went down the ladder.......

“That’s one small step for man..........”

Ok, try this:

“He convinced us all to put £10 in the pot, winner take all. We agreed for some fun, then he pulled out his own bowling shoes and custom ball, shot 250 and took all our money.”

Ok it was Paul Peschisolido talking about Neil Warnock when both at the Blades. Apparently a master ten pin bowler.

Which reminds of the joke:
Pat: Got a job down the bowling alley.
Mick: Ten pin?
Pat: No, permanent.

Officially charnwoods question.

Thought at first maybe James Greaves then changed response to John Lennon. Only because of the timeline selected, believe the latter was around 40 when shot by Chapman but not 100 per cent on this by any measure.
