The Alternative Football Club Thread

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Its Heart of Midlothian FC Scottish Cup conquerers , Brora Rangers v the mighty Loons today in Brora itself. How is this going to pan out?

Bit trivia, ……., my wife’s best pal from Uni, (from Brora and 60 years old) …… her 80 year old husband owns the main bus company in that Highland region. They’re flippin loaded!

The super Loons succeeded where Hearts failed, a good win and on course to qualify for the knockout stages.

Nice away win for the Wolvos tonight, Wolfie.

Man, what has happened to Nottingham Forest. Another late & great manager who'd be shocked if he was brought back.

I dont get the Loaning one of our best players with no contract to them signing him, what a player to watch as well, gave the Mol a buzz.
its all about agents moving there stock around for their income,
Also football is all about the chosen view clubs, VAR is all about making sure the top 6 to stay in the top 6.

i preferred the Championship to the Premier.

Kind of agree with that, although the Wolves are holding up ok in that top tier. But for the Watfords & West Broms? I too would rather be in a league where a whole host of teams could win the league (without promotion). Probably why I lean more towards Celtic & the newly formed Sevco effin off.

Best bit is seeing the likes of João Moutinho, Rui Patrício and Jonny plus the other internationals actually playing in the old gold, but do we want to be the likes of the, Boltons, Stokes, Blackburns, who just sit mid table until it all implodes.

The Albion fans get to see either " chance to go up or chance of going down every season," getting tickets to see the matches in the championship,
must be an age thing aye

From Scottish non-league, Wolfie. They'll do a "Gretna" and storm up the leagues.

Shame about their name!

back on track with these top clubs buying who they want,

We sell Jota to Liverpool for 35/45 million. Doherty to Spurs for 15 million.
then we have to borrow the money they owe us from an Australian financial services,

How does that work out then, to me these super clubs do exactly what the want,

Yes, this is all very confusing indeed. Cash movement in the soccer world must be unique. But probably not.

But Matt Doherty though. The man caught laughing 5 minutes after a humiliating 5-1 cup thumping by the Hearts bstds. Never forgiven by Hibs fans.

yeah I've changed my view on him, when he came back from his loan spell with you he said all he's ever wanted was to play for Wolves blah blah blah.
then when Spurs made an offer for him he said that's all he ever wanted was play for Spurs

Robbie Keane was the same, every club he signed for was the club he always wanted to play for, which must be getting on for near on a dozen,

Yep, Whats happened to them? Free-fall like Sunderland.

Great win for the Loons yesterday v Kelty Jambos in top of the table clash. Think they weathered a storm if the report is accurate.

China 'blocks' broadcast of Aston Villa and Wolves matches
It comes as the Premier League prepares to unite in a show of support for the people of Ukraine

Kick the owners of the Wolves out,, I'd sooner Wolves played in the Championship or even lower.

I certainly wouldn’t ever want to see ITFC owned by Chinese investors.

Talking of Ukraine is there any news when the World Cup Qualifier between Scotland v Ukraine will be played ? Very difficult for them but potentially a big uplift and couple of hours diversion for many of their desperate people.

Agree, its been great seeing the likes of João Moutinho, Willy Boly, Raúl Jiménez,Johnny and the likes at Molineux but its blood money from China,
I said that on a Wolves forum that i'd prefer us taking the consortium bid from Bully, Suzi Perry,Noddy Holder and Robert Plant, proper Wolves fans
even if it meant playing in the Championship and got slated for it, that why i prefer to log on this site, more level headed folk who who know their football.

Life's morals are more important than football.

I wonder what the West will do if China provides Putin with weapons and funding as requested. Will the West put sanctions on China and could that impact on Wolves and other Chinese owned football clubs ? 🇺🇦

I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed Andy, certainly something going on at Wolves, they have put building a new stadium or completing Steve Morgan's (ex owner) original plans on hold,
As i said its good to see us in the Premier but that's not the be all to me,
