Wk.8. ROYAL ASCOT,

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Jusf out of curiosity wolfie……. I had Tiger Moth at £5 EW.
Shouldnt the “favourite” Broome be £5EW as well?
Just asking as my intentions were an EW bet.

Broome was the favourite but you can't back the favourite Each Way it's win only.

Kerry Blue is Correct, the only way is to put it on as a Win Bet

An Each way bet of 10.00 works out as 2 x Bets.
5.00. to Win + 5.00 to be placed.
So when your horse came 2nd you lose the 5.00 to win part.
The other 5.00 wins you a ¼ of the odds @9/4 plus that 5.00 back.
@ ¼ the odds you had a return of 7.81 which includes the 5.00 Stake.
So the whole bet you lost 2.19.
So I actually did you a favour mate,,, 8)
