NEW QUIZ, ENDED, Winner Charnwood

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

27 October 1993
Liverpool 3 v 2 Ipswich
Coca Cola Cup 3rd Round

Just wished I’d seen the extra clues over the weekend. Even then I think I’d have needed Clue 3.

It would also have helped if the refs initials were J L and not J I ! or opening goal scored past G ?

But hey ho, we got there in the end.

This captain went on to play and manage a well known club on the south coast, also played over 50 games for Northern Ireland and managed them,

Leicester City 2 v 2 Aston Villa Division One,

20 March 1976.

( Clue 1 misleading, Captain C.M scores ? )

I was looking for two captains, one CM & the other CN !

Got there in the end.

Well Done, that was really weird the two links to the match had different names who scored all four goals, Chris McGrath and Chris Nicoll.
so i changed the Clue .1. but missed that last C.M,

I was wondering why you hadn't got it

1938 World Cup Final (Paris)

19 June 1938

Italy 4 - 2 Hungary

Italy Manager was Vittorio Pozzo ( V.P not V.C ) who some suggest is/was one of th3 greatest football managers of all time and I believe is still the only manager to win two World Cups.
