Town are understood to be showing interest in young Sheffield United striker William Osula ahead of the transfer window’s closure tomorrow evening at 11pm.

The Blues are known to want to add another frontman to their ranks with a number 10 also believed to be a second target.

According to Sun on Sunday journalist Alan Nixon, the Blues have made a late move to sign the 19-year-old Aarhus-born striker on loan, while Burton and Lincoln are also keen.

Osula would be a surprise addition given his lack of experience, the 5ft 11in tall Denmark U19 international having made only five senior sub appearances for the Blades.

Town are believed to have had a number of potential striking recruits under consideration in recent weeks as the chances of signing top target George Hirst diminished. The Leicester frontman is understood to be close to joining Blackburn on loan.

Blues supporters may recall Osula scoring a first-half hat-trick against Town’s U23s in the Professional Development League Two play-off semi-final that his side won 4-0 at Bramall Lane in May 2021.

Was at the game against Burton the other week and this lad gave our defence a tough time. Held the ball up very well. Ok only one game but from what I saw that night certainly wouldn’t be unhappy if this move went through.

Add to that he's hit 5 goals already this season in a struggling side

Yep was very impressed with him that night. As you say he has already scored 5 goals in a struggling side this season and at a young age plenty of time for development. Think this could be a cracking bit of business if it goes through although no doubt I have now jinxed it!

Yes please looked good against us very good age and can only improve a better buy than the Shed Utd player IMO.

Like the sound of this, what sort of fee do we guess? 500k plus add ons? Maybe even closer to a million? Defo a good way, buy young, from lower down and develop, worked so well for Brentford, Brighton etc.

Quite a few rumours and links going about now, got to expect this on the last day of transfer season I suppose.

Be interesting to see what materializes and who we get in, seems to be the figure we received for TS is the price asking for aany new addition.

KM did say 1 or 2 possibles so exciting times.

Town are hoping to complete the signing of Plymouth Argyle midfielder Panutche Camara before this evening’s deadline.

According to Football Insider, the Blues have had a £500,000 offer accepted by the Pilgrims for the Guinea-Bissau international and TWTD can confirm Town are looking to sign the 25-year-old before the transfer window closes at 11pm this evening.

There is still work to do and the deal is not done but it's hoped Camara can be one of two players unveiled by the Blues today along with Burton striker Gassan Ahadme.

Just looking to the PA fans forum and this Camara only has a year left and slight injury apparently., all quotes from their site below..

That is a real shame but inevitable that he would leave. Agent power and an exaggerated niggle of an injury that meant he was never going to play for us again.

Very good money considering he only has a year left.

Confirmed on Sky Sports News

Good money though.

Yes, Peter O’Rourke is correct the vast majority of the time.

Lets hope he passes the medical OK with this injury.......

His groin will have instantly improved !

The name rings a bell. What type of player is he?

Assume he is well regarded? I think I’ve heard his name mentioned on podcasts when talking about good players in this league.

I wonder if we’d been after him for a while he because by all accounts he’d refused to sign d new deal offered by PA. He’s a VERY good player. I’ll be really pleased if we pull this off. From memory also, I’m sure that Burton striker gave our defence the run around a week or so ago. I’m amazed our league one rivals are prepared to sell their best players to us really.

They don’t have much choice, player won’t sign a new deal, a club comes and puts money on the table (which the club needs) and the player wants to leave - it’s a problem for many clubs who aren’t heavily backed or at the top of their league etc.

Town have confirmed the signing of Burton Albion striker Gassan Ahadme on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old becomes the Blues’ eighth signing of the summer and their first of deadline day with Plymouth midfielder Panutche Camara set to become the ninth later this evening.

“I am really excited to be here,” Ahadme told iFollow Ipswich. “I have played at Portman Road before and it was an amazing feeling. To be here now, as a player for the club, feels amazing.

“Everything that people have told me about the club has been positive, and I had a really good chat with the manager.

“The first thing that supporters can expect from me is hard work. Hopefully, there will also be goals.”

Manager Kieran McKenna added: “We feel like Gassan is a really good fit for us. He is at an age where he is hungry and he has had a strong start to the season.

“Gassan adds another element to our attack, particularly with his height, and can come straight into the fold.”

Ahadme, who was born in Spain but has represented Morocco at U23 level, impressed when facing the Blues for the Brewers in Town’s 1-0 win at the Pirelli Stadium last month.

Having been with Club Gimnastic Manresa, the 6ft 1in tall frontman, who is known as Gas, moved on to Norwich City’s youth set-up and while at Carrow Road spent time on loan at Real Oviedo, playing for their B team.

He had a subsequent spell with Portsmouth during the first half of last season - netting onced in six starts and four sub appearances - before joining Burton on a permanent basis in January without having played a senior game for the Canaries.

While with the Brewers he scored eight times in 16 starts and six sub appearances. This season he has already netted five times and picked up two assists.

Ahadme will become the first Moroccan to represent the Blues.

Crikey, if we get this lad from Plymouth then what an attacking squad we have.

All the other teams in LG1 watch out, we are going to destroy this league, feeling really confident now.

COYB!!
