Whittaker is their best player, the only one of their squad I would take, would be quite a coup.

All we'd need to do then is buy Barry Bannan and we're guaranteed top spot!!

Whittaker is a Swansea player, so can anyone see their manager, Russell Martin ( ex budgie) allowing him to come to us and not stay at Plymouth .. lol
Interesting comments from Ashton here……

As much as football rivalries burn bright in many people's hearts... I'm pretty sure money burns hotter!!!

I can’t see this happening as we seem to do our transfer/loan business under the radar now. Also, the lad seems to be quite happy at Plymouth and I should imagine Swansea are very happy with the way his development is going there. Mind you I would be delighted to be proved wrong.

I don't see it happening either, unfortunately.

He definitely is the “stick out” player in almost all (if not all) of their games.
One thing all fans can hope is ——>> American owners will definitely want the current situation sustained. Wont be any Mevans non inspirational shenanigans in January.
Definitely why you just got to be rooting for the YOU ESS A! …….. give those doodle dandys more excitement for the saaaawker! A decent WC run sees more investment.

Marko, if England lose to the YOU ESS A I’m going into hiding as I will never hear the end of it from my American relatives.marko69 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 8:38 amHe definitely is the “stick out” player in almost all (if not all) of their games.

marko, forgot to add I’m always doing my best to improve relations with my relatives across the pond. When we were visiting them once my great niece asked me, “uncle Tony do you celebrate Thanksgiving in England”? I replied “yes we do on the 4th July”. I’ve still got the bruise from when the wife kicked me under the table.
Anyhow, back on topic will be interesting to see who we bring in come January.

Reminds me of when I received an invitation from the U.S Ambassador to the July 4 celebrations in Bad Godesberg. Being British I was the butt of several jokes and he laughed at and enjoyed my somewhat cutting replies. The British Ambassador appeared otherwise!Shed on tour wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 9:08 ammarko, forgot to add I’m always doing my best to improve relations with my relatives across the pond.
