David Johnson

Has passed away at the age of 71. Remember watching him play for us on many occasions in the 70’s. Had a good chat with him once on a train back to London after a home game.

May be wrong, but I think he may have played v Scotland @ Hampden one year. Late 70's

Super player for Town, not terribly old, RIP.
I believe the Men's clothes shop he opened in the town is still there, " Jonty's in Tacket Street.

Wasn't Stewart Kennedy in goal that day ? Went on to be a Forfar great.

RIP “ Jonty”. I met him not long after he joined the club. Really nice bloke and very down to earth tbh.

It always amazes me how many of our past hero’s ( our club and other clubs), all seem to die so young, and certainly below the National age of longevity.
