A good lad and was excellent before his injury but today shows how far down the pecking order he is nowAzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 4:11 pmYes doesn't inspire confidence in playing it out the McKenna way.

WW are certainly knocking us out of our comfort zone of tippy tappy football aren’t they.

Is it just my hearing or does Danny Haynes on the commentary seem to mumble a lot?

Chaplin should've scored there. Great flick from Jackson

Golden opportunity for Chaplin to open the scoring on 34 mins, even worse than the miss it cost me 10 Prediction League points. Wanker !

Three clear cut chances we’ve had , fluffed every single one of them. They get ONE chance and they score.
There’s our two main problems in one sentence !

Real class.
Surely there was more than 2 minutes of stoppages?

Well that’s the first half done then. Same old story every bloody week as far as I’m concerned.
Don’t take our gilt edged chances when we get them. Conceded SO easily whenever the opposition eventual do get a chance , usually their first!
Every bloody week!!
We are also, not surprisingly, struggling with their physical strength.constantly being outmuscled when on the ball ourselves.
If we manage to get a point out of this game we will have done very well. But I can’t see us scoring tbh.

Don't deserve to be behind but terrible defending by Humphreys for their goal, too lightweight and apart from one good through ball Humphreys has looked a little out of his depth today. We could have had a couple prior to them scoring with Chaplin in particular at fault.
Morsy and Keogh have been excellent while Burgess, Davis and Jackson solid for the most part. Burns needs to bloody wake up as been anonymous.
We can deffo get something out of this game as looked the better side the last 25 mins and created a few good openings. I think Aluko on for Humphreys may be a good call and possibly Edwards for a subdued Burns.

Personally I don't think we have been particularly "out muscled". Surprisingly WW have hardly used the aerial threat, with their best stuff being played on the ground.
Could've done better with defending their goal. Would rather someone have stuck a foot in at the risk of conceding a penalty than to let their player waltz through to score.
This game is far from over, as I feel we have been the better side, despite what the score might say.

Chaplin should of done better with his chance. We got into a couple of good situations didn't make the most of. Poor defending for the goal. They will waste every minute they can in the 2nd half. If Town up there game 10% they beat these.

I think they tend to bombard opponents in the latter stages of games. Hopefully not today.
I agree with Mike re Humphrey’s though . Hardly surprising as he’s on a slip of a kid really. We need Evans back on the pitch but don’t think today is ideal.
I’m struggling to see what Ladapo is offering and Burns also. But we need as usual, to be far more clinical when we get our opportunities.
Ladapo x2
Jackson x1
Springs to mind so far ….
Come on Town let’s go for it …

Certainly more physical strength in Midfield, few challenges that have turned us too, need to get stuck in.
The defending from that goal was poor, Humphreys gave it away but Burgess should of dealt with him, good goal though, frustrating too.
Humphreys has made up from his minor failures, lovely ball through.
Hopefully we will get stuck in 2nd half, pass a little more crisper and more pace, we can turn this around.

I think Burns is missing Donacien down the right flank.
