We'll have much harder matches than this one, so the squad should be prepared for anything.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 2:09 pmI fear that's exactly what they'll do Mach, and aim to hit us on the break in the first half, then second half bombard our box with high balls ...neither approach do we deal with particularly well. So this is not going to be an attractive, easy game I fear. ...UNLESS we can get that early goal. Then its open warfare lol !Mach_Polish_Blue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 12:03 pmTravelling down from North West to see and 1-0 will do for me.
Rotherham may put 10 men behind the ball but it would be a bit pointless in their very critical state. A draw wouldn't do them any favours.
Ideally a comfortable win and plenty of changes throughout the game to keep the team fit.

This is on this site somewhere, but we left it too late to book a hotel close to the Dom Valley Stadium in Sheffield back in 97. Closest was Rotherham. Proper dump.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 2:07 pmIt reassembles Beirut on speed, AndyCharnwood wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:01 amhallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 10:45 pmlol, yip that’s pretty much how it happened at Rotherham that day. Never felt so much pain and definitely couldn’t breathe, for what felt like an eternity. The mist nibble foot work all night by the Town players, was them stepping over me as I fought for breath - the arse holes!
I went into work Monday morning feeling like I’d been run over by a steam roller…. At 9.30 am my mobile phone rings and it’s a member of staff at Rotherham FC checking to see how I was, and did I want file a complaint. I didn’t but I did say please fix the raised caps ( the ones they put over the holes left by the removable poles) ….
What Mike didn’t say was when the medic came down the hill to where I was laying, he tripped over the same blooming cover I’d tripped over!!
… I hate Rotherham too! lol
I spent a few years as a Regional Director based in Leeds responsible for branches from the Scottish Border to South Yorkshire and one of the places I least liked to visit was definitely Rotherham. It really was/is a dump albeit with some nice if people if you can find them. One of my very good mates spent more than four seasons playing in goal for them and still visits the ground regularly but he never actually lived there which tells me a lot.
But .... Was 1997.......,maybe it's tidied up slightly. Like Dundee.

Just amazes me the crowds we are getting for an evening game against Rotherham. Yes it's half term so that makes a difference but I counted only 242 seats available to home fans. There was only 1 ticket available of the extra ones in V1 and most seats left are restricted view!
Definitely too much time on my hands lol. Right Portman Road block V1 here I come!

Sorry but you don't drop a man in goalscoring form who's just returned to his best, ridiculous

I'll disagree there....., agree it'd be a difficult decision but I reckon he's thinking he needs Moore's height vs that Rotherham defence. Hopefully there are a few pinpoint crosses pinged over at various times.

It worked fine Saturday though starting Broadhead with Moore. It's just odd he scores in the last 3 Games and gets dropped.

Great studio team tonight on TownTV, just love it when Matty Holland takes the lead and with James Scowcroft and Alan Lee, brilliant

The term "dropped" doesn't necessarily mean dropped. The manager will have a plan and no doubt Broadhead KNOWS he'll be involved. "Dropped" is way too negative these days.

Burns on fire - scorchio! Defence a bit wobbly, but will hopefully get their sh*t together - isn’t that right Clarkie and Woolfie?
