I find it hilarious. Foreigner rule scrapped and both of them go and spend cash they don't have and create the HUGE gap. Fergus McCann has to bail Celtic out of a hole, and the old Rangers FC go bust. It is laughable that supporters of these clubs moan about "THE STATE" of it. You feckin created it you feckin glasgow dafties.arana peligrosa wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 7:57 pmShame the idea of letting both Old Firm club names join the English league will never see the light of day as simply put, for both it must be something of a long-standing non-event challenging and topping a league where no-one else can feasibly win it.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
How Wolfie turned yesterday and dropped his arms to face the kicker ---->> that'll be the future of football. No one knows the handball rule anymore. But I reckon Wolfie had no time to do anything in that time scale. Certainly no blame on him for that goal. (imo)ashfordblue wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 6:55 pmMarco: Another thing I noticed yesterday is that Wolfi stopped tippy-tapping around and played more direct passing, I think Kieran had a word in his shell-like and said to be more positive and not invite trouble with slow playing out from the back, what do you think ??? also Wolfi always seems to stay stationary and turns away from the player shooting instead of trying to block the shot, I think he's a woosie don't youmarko69 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 6:57 pmDon't wish to rock the boat, but from those highlights, people COULD blame Woolfenden in the slowed down play......., but both Burgess & Morsy look like they do not know where they should be. They were both in a flap, panicking a bit I think. FIVE defenders there , and that guy found space. If Chaplin makes contact, its a pen, and Axel had the other guy covered. Would've been an irritating state of affairs had it ended 1-1.lucy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 6:46 pmhttps://www.skysports.com/football/vide ... highlights

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Wolfenden ball watches, and constantly drops back and back towards the goal line, marking essentially, thin air. He was facing his own goal when the Brum player recieved the ball on the edge of the area He does this time and time again when we are needing to defender our 18 yard area. If he had turned to face the opposition he'd would have seen James and you'd hope, make efforts to close him down before he took his shot. He's bloody useless.

Oh well Coventry took just 9 mins to do what we were incapable of doing…… sticking the ball in the net.

Ellis Simms hat-trick. Perhaps if we'd bought him in the summer we'd still be in the FA cup!!

Yes, I believe we were sniffing around him, sadly he lacks ambition and wanted to stay at Plymouth

I thought Simms was way over priced, so I am happy we didn't pursue him.
Have to say, Coventry beat the National League South team comprehensively like you'd expect a championship team to do. Not being negative, just my opinion.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
there was a bid in for him from an overseas club in Jan window..wonder if that's unsettled him a bit now ? I doubt he'll be at Plymouth next season.

His game is all about speed and is best suited I think, to breakaway football...which is how Plymouth usually beat us unfortunately ... well see what happens Saturday wont we.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
We beat them at home and last season they got a worldy fluke from Mumba in the dying seconds to grab an undeserved draw, at their place Whittaker scored a great strike to deny us so for me they've just had the rub of the green coupled with a fab goal, I don't think they've ever earned a result on merit against us, hopefully things fall our way Saturday.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 1:27 pmHis game is all about speed and is best suited I think, to breakaway football...which is how Plymouth usually beat us unfortunately ... well see what happens Saturday wont we.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Just to put the FA CUP & that that Maidstone game to bed, (the Ipswich version) ……. I really hope after that game, KMcK laughed & mocked the players and asked them if they were properly embarrassed.
9 uses the word “comprehensively” re Coventry last night.
The boss put out a team that comprehensively thumped The Stones that day, (38 shots, 20-something on target) ……, player's inabilty to be as cool as the guy who scored the first Stones goal and slot home chances……. And Walton wearing the Cinderella dress second half.
I suppose it’s why we all love & hate football. Coventry loving it last night, and Ipswich comprehensively thumping them but left scratching heads and hating it.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
It’s the fact they get us on the break each time though. We are vulnerable to that by the counter attacking sides because we’re slow in midfield and defence to deal with it… Brum did us Saturday.Bluemike wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 1:50 pmWe beat them at home and last season they got a worldy fluke from Mumba in the dying seconds to grab an undeserved draw, at their place Whittaker scored a great strike to deny us so for me they've just had the rub of the green coupled with a fab goal, I don't think they've ever earned a result on merit against us, hopefully things fall our way Saturday.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 1:27 pmHis game is all about speed and is best suited I think, to breakaway football...which is how Plymouth usually beat us unfortunately ... well see what happens Saturday wont we.

Happy to see Leicester in the FA Cup Quarter Finals. Hope Leeds get through too and maybe draw one another for an epic tie in the next round, or even better both progress to the Semis and have a fixture pile up. Any little advantage for the Tractor Boys would be good.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Edinburgh derby tonight at the Costa Del A Honk, Shitecastle Garden Hut. Fearing the worst. They were properly humped on Saturday @ Ibrox. Could be a backlash.
Hopefully the cabbage & ribs can produce something decent to weather that storm.
3-0 Hibs!!
