Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
It looks like the teams at the top of the premier league are finding it just as hard to get over the line as Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich in the Championship. Who on earth would have predicted both Liverpool and Arsenal losing at home today ?

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Utter madness, and just like us it looks like Liverpool may well have lost their best chance.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Brilliant hat trick from Cole Palmer for Chelsea in the first 29 mins and a fourth with a penalty in the 64th minute.

I blame predictive text, I can’t believe how many times in a day it screws stuff

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
I wonder if Pep is regretting selling Cole Palmer. He has to be a better all-round player than Haarland and I'm already drooling over the prospect of an England mid field of Foden, Bellingham and Palmer but then will Southgate have the balls to pick all three of them this summer?

Personally I'd sooner leave out Foden than Saka. Foden can be England Hutchinson super sub, I don't fancy he offers as much all round game.

I’m assuming we want Southampton to win today, right?

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
A draw would be best because it keeps them in the hunt but they only get one point closer to us, but they are in front at the moment.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Ah I see, yes it'll be good to keep them close, but they seem the only one of the top 4 to have any form, so they're starting to worry me.
At 2-0 (EDIT 3) I don't suppose we need to ponder what we would want tonight now anyway!!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Imagine how Leeds and Leicester are feeling, they've got to play them, we haven't.
Pressure will be on them both, we just need to keep our heads.
What a finish to the season, closest Championship season in years, an we are in the mix.

Hope we don’t end up playing Southampton in the playoffs!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Now lets see Southampton take points off both Leicester and Leeds
Those two draws we played in our last two games could be the difference now. Preferred if we won obviously but still give us a little buffer over Southampton

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Without knowing other teams results probably 2 draws would suit us best. If Southampton win on Saturday at Cardiff and again on Tuesday at Leicester that would take them to 90 points, 1 point above us but of course we’d have a game in hand. They also have 3 of their final 4 fixtures away from home, however If they did manage to win at both Leicester and Leeds they could finish with 96 points which would take some beating and could see them win the Championship.
It also highlights how important Jeremy Sarmiento’s 97th minute winner was when we played Southampton at Portman Road.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
thought they were gone. Fell too far behind and lost the opportunity. Credit where it's due looks like they could still actually make it. Any other season I'd allow plaudits left and right but not if it's going to happen at our expense. Best guess they finish third position and take on the green yellow sons of bitches. Probably win too, they're way ahead in terms of form over the other and losing a play-off semi-final would hurt NCFC far more than missing out altogether.
can't get excited about european games later this day also. Madrid are unlikely to win, not expecting no victory but so long as there's no repeat of last year's humiliation score it would be kind of acceptable. 20, 25 years back the Spanish would annihilate that opposition over two games but now you got a disingenuous club name with more plastic within it than Michael Jackson at a tupperware convention. Champions' League been bullshit for years now, integrity and value of competition eroded to such extent it's tough sometime to follow action. Those of a certain age can only yearn for years back when competition actually counted for something.
