I hope that is the case. I would imagine we are prepared to pay an initial fee and then add-ons which could end up taking the deal to £22 million. I would expect Chelsea would want a good sell on clause as well.hallamblue wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2024 11:09 amFWIW,Phil Ham (TWTD), has said he has been told the figures being bandied about re Omari are vastly overinflated.

Ndaba looks to be on his way! -
Source EADTScottish club Kilmarnock are closing in on a permanent deal for Ipswich Town centre-back Corrie Ndaba, the EADT and Ipswich Star understands.
The 24-year-old joined the Blues' academy in 2016, progressing to the first team three years later. He's been out on loan seven times since then, with recent spells at Salford City, Burton Albion and Fleetwood Town.
He spent last season at Rugby Park as Killie qualified for the Europa League, finishing fourth in the Scottish Premiership.
The Daily Record, who broke the news this morning, claims that manager Derek McInness has 'convinced his board to launch a bid to get the Irishman on board long-term', adding that the club 'hope to finalise a deal quickly so they can get him up and running ahead of their Europa League qualifier with Cercle Brugge'.
Ndaba's contract at Portman Road is set to expire in 2025, so a fee will be required for the Dublin-born defender to leave this summer.
The one-time Republic of Ireland youth international hasn't made a league appearance for Town, only ever featuring in the Carabao Cup or EFL Trophy at senior level.

Jackson to Derby on a 3 year deal, I'm pleased for him he always did him best for Town and although I often criticised him I wish him well.

Yes, I’m happy we’ll have Omari pending a medical exam, but I’m not thrilled with the transfer fee. Understand though this is where we are at.
Still think the priority is another CB, Striker and quality MF. If we sign three more in addition to Johnson and Hutch, will that be enough?

Flynn Downes linked, would be an absolutely cracking signing, he ran that Southampton team and is just what we need alongside Morsy.

Not for me I’m afraid. He might be a half decent player, but his attitude ( IMHO) stinks.
Anyway, onto a player who does have the right attitude to fit in at this club . Back o the net time and “ Happy Birthday Kieran, Best wishes Mark Ashton”

Apparently his partner is pregnant and she’s from Ipswich …. Also he’s supposed to have spoken to McKenna recently . Make of that what people will. One thing I do know, if he did return to Town and not Saints, just HOW pissed off would Russell Martin be!!

It's great regarding Omari Hutchinson but as I've said previously he doesn't strengthen us, he was already here, we need to now press on and strengthen the squad, Johnson would be a good start but at least half dozen more required.

Well that’s one way of looking at it I suppose. But the other way is, yes he does strengthen us, because had we not secured him, the team would be a lot less potent without him in it.

Absolutely but we need to strengthen to survive, especially defensively

He did say this last week, that he’d “know more next week, where his future lies”. Tbh I think both he and Walton will be leaving but we shall see.
The players have been going in to training in small groups over this last week or two I understand just keep them ticking over. Think that’s a really good idea as it should hopefully cut down on these usual pre season injuries we always seem to pick up. Fingers crossed
anyway
