This is why the market is hard for us, we are probably a very low choice in the pecking order if multiple premier league clubs are after a player.
We'd either have to pay over the odds wages or hope there is a situation where the player feels more game time will happen here at town.
Suspect Palace are lining up their Olise replacement. (Or even Eze).
Its tricky too as if we got him and Greaves, we'd have spent 50m on 4 signings by then and we still need another 5 - 3 of them being key first teamers (GK, CM, ST).

I reckon the player will be weighing up the various terms offered him from his suitors. Palace have made an offer for the player giving them the access to speak to the player. It’s ultimately down to the player where he wants to go…

Taken from bbc gossip via TEAMtalk
Manchester United, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in Hull City's English midfielder Jaden Philogene, 22.
Looks even less likely we’ll get him now.

West Ham have signed Max Kilman for £40m!
Shows that prices are still high!
Nice that Maidenhead are due 4m via sell on. They’ll get it over the seven years though I assume as that’s the contract length.

Can’t see us going for Kelleher if Liverpool want £25m!
10-15m might be more realistic but 25 is crazy.

Would like Ramsdale on loan but that’s probably highly unlikely to happen. Must be some keepers out there looking to get game time….
De Gea still a free agent?

What are people's thoughts on Michael Cooper at Plymouth? With a Plymouth fan at the moment who tells me he has only got 12 months on his contract and that rumours had been circling about Ipswich being one of a few clubs watching the situation.

I thought he was excellent a couple of years ago but he has had a couple of injuries and only made 19 starts last season but he did looked a top prospect not long ago and he's young 24 I believe, maybe Town will try and get a more experienced keeper.

Now that would be something! Opening fixture at Portman Road v Liverpool —->> with “Cooper” in goal.

Yes……. firmly trapped in the past!

Cooper’s had a couple of seasons of injuries hasn’t he. First season out was a bad injury but don’t know what it was exactly. I’ve always rated him tbh

We have the manager with a proven record of developing players and he’ll get game time for sure. But the others are more established proper league clubs, palace are a small club but have a very impressive squad now, they went on a mental run once the new manager came in.
Everton will be near the bottom again but could be turned around if they can get the ownership issue sorted. Their new stadium next season looks highly impressive

Would love that to be correct, however the source doesn't hold an awful lot of sway for me.

Still think that Greaves is the more important signing out of the two.

I don’t know why, but I’m convinced he will be joining us and so will Greaves. Towns stock has risen massively and anyone ever speaking to Ashton / McKenna seems to always believe in the project put before them.
Time will tell but fingers firmly crossed.

Well now, the Englishman is set to leave Fenerbahce after a nightmare year in Turkey. Ipswich are keen on Kent according to The Mirror’s Darren Witcoop as are two other Championship sides in the race for Kent.
Witcoop said: “Ryan Kent poised to leave Fenerbahce. Exploring all options. Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna a big fan of the ex-Glasgow Rangers winger. Two Championship clubs also very much in the mix.”

Absolutely but the longer this drags on the less keen I am.
