Only played ten times for Burnley last season so didn't let all those goals in 😂 seriously I'm a bit disappointed but in KMc we trust.

They’re all fake, Mariner. He’s off to Fulham. 🤷‍♂️

We've lost one of the best keepers in the business at playing out from the back and with ball at feet who cost us very few goals, this guy Muric ain't good at that at all unfortunately, not keen on this one.

Maybe something to do with the fact Villa are looking at a 50 million deal for Onana from Everton. This all smells of shenanigans to beat the system by the same 4 or 5 clubs doing business with each other.

A fee of 8million plus seems ott to me for a keeper who only got into the Burnley side at the end part of last season.
Can’t say I know anything about him but have seen several people say he is not that good with the ball at his feet. If this goes through guess we have to trust KM and the recruitment team have got it right.

He played all the games in the Championship when they got promoted but lost his place when they bought Trafford, only 25 so hopefully with our coaching he will improve.

Makes you wonder if Walton is also on his way and we have yet another GK in our sights as well as this Burnley one!

Says it's misleading contact was initiated by the players camp and it does not fit the club's recruitment profile.

Hladky wasn’t good enough for the Premier League, he knew that and so did McKenna and Ashton. As for Muric I know nothing about him so have to trust Ashton and McKenna to get this one right but to be displaced by James Trafford is no disgrace although clearly this pissed him off to the extent he wants away. At 6’6” he’s a bit of a giant, let’s hope he can make use of his height without being clumsy on his feet. In Ashton and McKenna we must place our trust, to be fair they’ve not made many mistakes.

Last word from me on Philogene. I feel sorry for the lad. I have a suspicion that Villa will sell him, maybe as part exchange for another player. They figured that they would prefer to get 100% of whatever value he is sold for above our offer, rather than 30% from the Hull sell on.

I actually don't like buyback clauses and would be happy to see them banned. Takes away the player's right to refuse.

Until someone puts out a complete list of what we got now or at least what the first team will resemble on start day in August it's kind of tough to keep track of all dealings underway within the club. Understand Hladky is no longer part of out club set-up. That's a shame. He would have had his doubters and those who thought not sufficient for an attempt at EPL level but on the face of it was a fine club servant who earned the team many valued points due to his contribution over the past two seasons. It's a pity he had to move on but seems he wasn't happy with something / couldn't work out a new deal here with the club etc.

Delap for 20 million seems questionable. I know next to zero about the kid, can't recall too many instances of his time with Manchester City, must have passed quiet under the radar or utilized few and far between. Not entirely overwhelmed with the signing particularly for the price in question but if turns out to be a very astute signing then will accept in being proved incorrect.

We're out on hunt for a new goalkeeper, it's anyone's guess who we may bring in. Hladky was no Lev Yashin but proved over time mostly reliable and will leave a void in the team. It's going to be tough from August at the highest level so be interesting to see who now fills the goal position, other than Walton of course.

Having watched a couple of videos re this Burnley keep, he seems to be some keeper tbh. 6ft6ins tall and total physical presence in the box. He resembles an octopus 🐙 infront of goal - arms n legs everywhere, and he's a cool as a cucumber 🥒 with the ball to feet. I actually think he'll be a fans favourite!

Makes you wonder doesn't it! Why haven't they signed him up yet? I can't believe we're not talking to him!

I must admit the You Tube video I watched does indeed make him look very impressive indeed, the clips I saw previously must have been carefully selected to show his errors, I feel much more at ease with this purchase if it happens. He doesn't half make a lot of saves with his feet/legs.

Taking a glance at the Burnley forum and their fans are very split on the news, some are gutted at the news while some are very pleased and not bothered. Quite a few feel he has been undervalued and the 8-10 Million is a joke.

Regarding his ability some say he's good with ball at feet and has excellent distribution while others feel he's often caught out and a bit of a liability.

"Not good at claiming crosses"
"A bit of a loose cannon"
"Very entertaining to watch"
Etc etc

I'm not sure he's gonna be any different to what we had tbh apart from the fact maybe Hladky didn't want to be here, he can definitely pull off stunning saves but so did Hladky, time will tell, the one thing that did bother me was a comment regarding his "nightclub incident", not sure what that's about but hopefully he's not a bit of a wild one.

I only did this a few days ago so not sure how often you need it AP or maybe you missed it ?
This is how we stand at the moment with a new goalkeeper being the latest prospect.

TOWN SQUAD AS IT STANDS

GK: Walton, Slicker

RB: Johnson, Clarke

CB: Greaves, Woolfenden, Burgess, Tuanzebe, Edmundson, Baggott, Ndaba

LB: Davis

CM: Morsy, Luongo, Taylor, Humphreys,

RW: Hutchinson, Burns

AMC: Chaplin

LW: Broadhead, Harness

ST: Delap, Hirst, Al-Hamadi, Ladapo

It looks to me like we still have a few gaps to fill in addition to a new GK. as I see it we need cover for Leif Davis, an additional CM player and an attacking LMF or LW such as the Philogene guy we just missed out on signing.
