This could be a soundtrack for a spaghetti western! Gunslinger rides into to town. Good stuff!

Re: What are you listening to?
A couple of crates came my way last week and I have been blown away by the first Commodores LP.

Did you get comfy to listen with a coffee and a nice Lionel Rich Tea biscuit?
My mother will have heard what you listened to. Her all time fave band.

Status Quo / The Wanderer
Great band no doubt, lousy track. Has neither the impact energy or commitment of more celebrated releases such as Margherita Time, In the Army Now or Whatever you Want. Rossi and Parfitt are or were great musicians but as with all highly decorated bands, every now and again a lame release appears amid an array of otherwise usual stellar material.

Same person who liked the Commodores had 10cc's 'How Dare You'. I like that one too.

Eddie Clarke is or was a fan, he used to run the forum years back. Heavy Metal's all well and good but I'd side with something from Metallica or (Alice) Cooper than Iron Maiden.
Dickinson's a fully qualified Airplane Pilot, Numan is believe another. That's kind of impressive, not only do you front one of the most celebrated music acts to some, you are licensed to fly aircraft. Not only that they're quite prolific at what they do.
It's by no means Earhart or Amy Johnson standard, however you got to award plaudits for the tenacity and dedication in which they reached their goals and ambitions.

Yes, I read that Dickinson pilots the plane when they tour.

Re: What are you listening to?
Maiden fan here, 24. Heard "Two minutes to Midnight" in 1984 and was hooked. Yes, heard "Run to the Hills" in 83 but didn't care much for it. Bought Powerslave album in 84, went to the Edinburgh Playhouse but was miles back......, then in 86 was much closer (same venue) for the Somewhere in Time tour.
Didn't see them again until Final Frontier tour, Glasgow 2010. Again, flippin miles back. Bruce was a dot on stage.
Incredible band. My personal favourite album is aforementioned Powerslave but massive shout out to Virtual X1 and Blaze on vocals. An absolute classic album.
