From what I've heard out of numerous sources,

And according to a number of City fans, Ashton had negotiated 10% of any transfer as part of the new contract he signed in the summer, Neil Doncaster (Chief Exec) confirmed this.

So after all is said and done, Norwich have about £1.8m profit on him to spend... nowhere near as much as the Norwich fans thought
