Elliott?

Post by uefacup81 » Mon Apr 05, 2004 6:51 pm

He has experience at Premiership and international level... something we really need at the moment. He would also provide vital height and strength at the back.

 Yes. He has been an improvement in our defence lately. Even if he is getting on a bit then it would still be good to have him for his last seasons (how ever many/not so many it is)

We've needed a Mogga type defender at the back for a long time, we could get a couple more seasons out of him!

Sign him up!! always knew he was a decent player but ive been really impressed with the way he reads the game and keeps a cool head under pressure. He may be 35 but he's deffo got 2 more seasons in him.

He may be 35 but hes as solid as nails.Hes said that hes enjoying the fight for the play offs so really hes the man that we have been missing all season, but i think its going to be too late.

Matt Elliot may be getting on a bit, but he's showing more hunger than most!!!

ALSO, does anyone from around Colchester on here read the Evening Gazzete?? Fabian blamed Town's leaky defence on the strikers, saying that if they defended from the front Town might be up in the top two!!!

i say yes definately because although he may not have long left he can help this team and show them what they can achieve and this could put us in a position to get another defender when he leaves the game maybe 2-4 years-excluding injuries-

he is pretty old and we still leak goals like its going out of fashion. Why oh why not look in some of the lower leagues and find some real talent...look where we got matty from, stewy, and where we got tommy from.
