Away Form

Post by Shed on tour » Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:25 pm

I knew our away record was poor but I have only just noticed that over the last 8 away games we have managed to score in just one game, the 2-2 draw at Reading. We have scored 2 and conceded 17 during this run of away games.
I guess that really does sum our season up.

I know, talk about thoroughly depressing.
Christ, there have been some poor sides relegated from the Championship in recent years but it seems like we are on course to set new records.

must admit I struggle to see where away points could come from. Weve not kept a clean sheet away all season and rarely look like scoring. I went to Reading away and felt we looked really dangerous first half, much like the Milwall game I guess. But perhaps its because Reading are also very poor.

Here's the remaining away fixtures for the campaign ahead :

Blackburn 1/19
Aston Villa 1/26
Norwich 2/10
Wigan 2/23
West Bromwich 3/9
Bristol City 3/12
Bolton 4/6
Brentford 4/10
Preston North E 4/19
Sheffield United 4/27

It's all hypothetical of course (potential course of results) but given the situation we're in and wins (both home and away) being so few and far between, it's hard to see any total in double figures arising from the above presented. A number of those involved will have their own objectives to make it doubly hard when the teams face off. Got a sneaking feeling a win will occur at Carrow Road - only given for the irony of the situation.

Got a sneaking feeling about the Carrow Road fixture myself, Saint. It’s not a nice sneaking feeing.

Fuuuuk! That list is depressing. Bolton maybe?
Fuuuuuuuuuk. League One.
