4 years is a bit heavy, Ferdinand got like 9 months (over summer) for using drugs.

I’d say players had to play 1 season for 10% of their wages, donating the rest to drug/ alcohol related charities.

Do agree it’s a bit steep. Making an example of the guy.

Nothing like Fowler snorting the bye-line though eh?! 😂

I remember watching Yorwerth at Old Trafford not long back, it took him nigh on Four years to close a bloody player down.

Far too harsh.

Get a couple of high profile football players drink driving each year that endanger the lives of others, they don't miss a game and might receive a token fine from their club.

If Yorwerth has a drug problem he should be helped, he's only hurting himself, he should not be castigated and it all stigmatised. 4 years is a huge chunk of a player's career, I hope it gets reduced to at least half that on appeal.

Performance enhancing drugs is perhaps a slightly different thing, but drink driving is seen as a unrelated civil matter in the eyes of football clubs, surely recreational drugs should be seen more in line with that?
