Re: West Bromwich Albion vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Let's keep it short, they'll win it, maybe three goals to one. Really nothing left in the season to play for, which is a shame but all focus will be on the summer ahead and rectifying the wrongs /getting rid of the dead wood. That '78 semi-final success will seem a very distant accomplishment.

Re: West Bromwich Albion vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Perversely, because we lost to Reading and effectively sealed our fate, I have a feeling that the pressure is off and we will play with freedom and without fear.
They need the points and will feel under extreme pressure.
While I think it is unlikely we will win I wouldn't completely rule it out. I think we'll get a draw at the very least.

Re: West Bromwich Albion vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
RIP Baggy, appropriately named to make this fixture perfect for Frosty’s dedication.
Looked on The Baggies website preview which made disappointing reading....
Stats;
Albion
• The Baggies are unbeaten at home to Ipswich since the turn of the century (P5, W4, D1).
• Aside from the opening day of the season, Albion haven't lost at The Hawthorns to any of the teams currently in the bottom half of the Championship table.
• Darren Moore's side are the second highest scorers in the division (67). Only table-topping Norwich have netted more (71).
Opposition
• Ipswich, contrary to Albion, are the second lowest scorers in the Championship (27).
• The Blues haven’t won any of their last eight league games (D3, L5).
• Town's last victory at The Hawthorns was a 1-0 triumph in March 1999.
Our only saving grace is that West Brom have failed to score in their last two fixtures losing both, unfortunately they were to Leeds United and Sheffield United which bare little resemblance to our team.
My prediction sadly is West Brom 3-0 Town.

Re: West Bromwich Albion vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
my immediate thinking is, erm does Mr Frosty mean the pic of the young lady with the blue hair or just perhaps that thing holding the Sandwell Town scarf up. will hold judgment for now,
condolence to your friend and the family of Adrian Cook. good move for an Albion fan to move 14 thousand miles away.

Virtually every game this season we commit more fouls than the opposition. And we've conceded plenty from the free kicks. There's a lesson to be learned there.

It’s taken 20 mins to find but at least I can watch the game live now, a shame we’re 1-0 behind but I can’t say I’m surprised.

Nice play from Teddy Bishop, looks well worth his place in the team.

Quaner good opportunity in the six yard box but easily blocked. At least we’re having a go and looking lively.

Great save from Bart low to his left on 42 mins to keep us in this game.

Ok so West Brom go in at half time 1-0 but in the 23 mins I’ve watched we’ve matched them in most areas.

Same old story, better side for spells of the game but no cutting edge up top, Bishop been different class with Three really good runs.

Twice as many attempts as the opposition and losing does speak volumes does it not.
