I think it was stated around 10,500 for 2018/19. So that’s been passed already.

That’s pretty impressive numbers, I just hope the team respond and keep everyone happy.

11,748 sold by the end of the early bird deadline.
Means we just miss out on the extra 10% discount but still a great effort by those who have purchased.

That’s a great effort. Pity it fell short just by 250 for the 12K, but far better than falling short by 2500.

I see some people are already saying that the deadline should be extended or as we got so close to the 12,000 mark that Evans should give the further discount anyway.
Sorry folks we all knew what the deadline so don’t see any reason why Evans should do this. I guess some people will moan whatever.

I’m sure there’s an in-built knee-jerk reaction to moan or sense some skull-duggery with some.

Well done to the 11,750 fans who signed up to a newly-relegated side. I’m sure they didn’t do that with a potential 10% discount in mind.

I agree with shed. You new the rules before you played. Still a brilliant effort. :D

The early bird has been extended before so why not now if it ment selling even more ST, surely that’s better all round?

I think that's only happened when sales have been slow. I thought the 12000 target was wildly over optimistic, it's brilliant to see sales increase. I guess many of the "new" sales are those who couldn't abide MM's football returning. I doubt ifor they've come back expecting a further reduction.

Good idea that BM. Buy 1 get 1 free, would only have to sell 15000 tickets and the place would be full.

I can see PL asking ME to extend the deadline to try and get the 10% - notices going out to inform all of the discount being applied might boost ST purchases further. That's what I would do, especially as we are only 250 away. It would be a massive PR boost for all, maybe even quietly sell some at a discount around sponsors or something to get over the line. Who amongst existing ST holders would object to that?

Id have no problem with this but i dont think it will be extended. I think its worked perfectly from the clubs point of view, we are just below the threshold so he doesnt need to drop the prices too much, ironically if we got another 250-300 ST holders it would probably cost ME money to do that, we would probably need to be comfortably in the 12,000's if we were to actually profit from it. Id love to see as many ST holders as possible, think 11,750 is a good effort though all things considered

The thing is Marko, with a section of Town fans it would have been "ungrateful b*stard, he could have thanked us" damned if you do and damned if you dont.

I'll add my point again though -----> maybe a bit too soon to be issuing thank you letters. Some fans will no doubt still be a bit raw at having to face LG1 football even if it has been inevitable since Feb. Pleasantries can sometimes have an adverse reaction, and I speak purely from experience as a Hibs fan and three seasons in the second tier. Their "nice" letters to ST holders annoyed the bejaysus out of me.

Yeah I get that but with so many new ST holders buying into it I think it was right he thanked them but you cant then not include the existing ones.

A nice touch I thought. As you say, ME will be criticised for everything he does despite putting a few million in every year.

The atmosphere is so different now marko, had MM still been in charge or even PH, the mood may have been different. I think had we ended the season a little better I think a few more would have been sold.

If we are sniffing top 6 I think there will be plenty of half season tickets sold for the second half of the season.
