And Lambert is right. But the club should of still given him a contract to protect their interests. If he goes for £500,000 i suggest they put a sell on clause of 30% in the deal just in case he does become "Billy Big Bollocks".tangfastic wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 12:43 pmLambert made thesecomments below a few months ago about Crowe. I don’t think we can put in a sell-on clause because he’s out of contract. The clubs aren’t going to buy him, but pay us compensation to avoid this going to a tribunal ( as far as I’m aware).derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 6:09 amAnd Lambert is right. It could well be we’ve tried to tie him down in a contract, but him and his agent want more or just want him to be a free agent. If that’s the case, I don’t think it sets a good precedent to give in to young players requesting attractive contracts when they’re nowhere near the first team. Take away his England youth caps and he’s another young kid who’s a long way from being a senior player.

You got that from News Now ? Reliable source for information but still not confirmed he's arrived in. Guess one or two of our other attacking options will now be surplus if this transfer goes through as it should. All hypothetical of course but how will the player adapt to a new club set-up, coming from one team once in the fourth league to one once in the second. Ideally should be going to Crystal Palace with a name such as Norwood.

Reported we have interest in Rodriguez from Motherwell. Defensive midfielder. Anyone seen him play... never heard of him myself? Seems a bit too well-travelled which is not necessarily a good sign.
https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/alejandro- ... -1-6085442
We’ve got too many midfielders, but I think we need a bit more grit in midfield and someone who can add a goal threat.

Never heard of the young guy so no real opinion on him. Hopefully he can become a permanent No1.
Huge opinion on that shirt sponsor logo. Absolutely horrific. Once the bigger issues are sorted, Mevans, that sh!t needs changed.

Hes been brought in as an U23 Keeper, so more to replace Harry Wright who will go on loan to get adult first team football maybe in lower leagues.
He wont be challenging for first team I would think

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
Don't recognize the name. Doubtless will get the opportunity to feature in some part of the new season but in how much capacity could be minimal.
We got Bialkowski of course who remains at the club, and didn't someone say Gerken was elsewhere or loaned out ? Sorry I can't recall the exact situation. As it stands, our goalkeeping options are adequate, but don't believe the team possesses the right strength in that area to properly challenge from August. Saving grace being, League One forwards may not be as effective or proficient as Championship level to really trouble whoever we place in goal.

I’m happy enough to part company with Bart and Gerken. Looks like we’re looking to bring in 3 GKs with Bart looking a dead cert to leave. This new keeper seems like one for the future and will only play Under 23’s.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
I take it with most of the new keepers coming in either going out on loan or going to the U23s, ITFC will be playing "any man goalie"?
Fair enough. Don't see an issue with that. Its only LG1. Piece of p!$$.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
similar concerns actually Marko
No problem with Bart's leaving, get good price for him then shake his hand on way out. We have signed the new keeper from Gillingham so maybe Wright be 2nd keeper behind the giant with this new keeper being 3rd choice

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
So now Millwall are reportedly showing interest in Bart, along with Birmingham .
I think it says a lot about how other clubs perceive Bart, by the level of clubs showing an interest . The “ big boys” are hardly battering Towns door down are they!

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
apparently his car was spotted.
“James Norwood’s proposed move to Town moved a giant step closer today when the striker’s car was spotted at Portman Road”
What does he drive? Until a couple of years ago he was a non-League player.... he can’t surely be driving a top of the range car which is identifiable as his? I’d love to think there’s been people camped out at PR for the last few weeks looking out for his clapped out Ford Fiesta. It could be the tea ladies motor.
Looking positive, though. From what I’ve seen, I like the sound of Norwood.

This is apparently his car A bloody Range Rover.... Non-league pays better than I thought. The license plate is a give away... unless it’s a prank.
If he doesn’t score, be smart to change the plates.

With the best will in the world. there is know way Town shelled out a £900,000 signing on fee. I have spoken to to few Tranmere fans up here who know Norwood, and the signing on fee was between £150,000 and £250,000. which is spread over the 3 years he is here. Which tops his wages up to the £8,000 a week. Again still great money for League 1 football.

Bit quiet on the transfer front.... Norwood and Holy aside.
Anybody hearing any rumours.... incoming or outgoing? Pre-season starts in a weeks time so I would have thought things will have to start moving in the next couple of weeks.
