Writing rules for you lot is like telling children not to run on the playground!

Re: Who said that?
Sounds like some sort of narcissist although it's the speaker you need focus on. Would be beneficial if knew who was being talked of, as that would assist the issue. Say Alex Ferguson, (I) think it could be Beckham or Giggs for the subject matter. No surprise if incorrect.marko69 wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 6:56 amJust read Number 9’s rule book (he forgot he wrote rules)....... if enough time passes, anyone can put up a quote....... yes yes, utter BS, but try this.
“He is the only fellow I've ever met who fell in love with himself at a young age and has remained faithful ever since.”

Re: Who said that?
He was a sportsman..... he’s still alive, just not playing anymore. Not football.
In that quote, the word “He” is actually wrong..... the actual name is used, and I’ll add that as part of another clue.

I think I’ve heard or read something similar .... but can’t say I know who said it.
Going gut instinct I’ll for cricket as the sport... the faithful one being Geoff Boycott and, I dunno, Ian Botham said it.

OH MY GOD!!!
You are too good. Wrong answer, but good.
The person spoken of is indeed, Geoffrey Boycott, but another cricketer said the words. Probably a cricketer that the English will dislike!! There is a clue!

I’ve read Geoffreys biography so that’s probably where I’ve heard it before.
Must be an Australian. I don’t think Richie Benaud would say it.. too much of a gentleman.
Was it a Chappel?

Was in the same late 70s / early 80s team as Greg Chappell.

Re: Who said that?
Yep, Lillee was correct. Well done.
Not really a cricket fan in recent times, but from age 7 - 15, I lived in Australia, (70s/80s) and was definitely a big fan of the Oz cricket team, (ducks for cover! ) I also used to bowl for the High School cricket team and Lillee was a hero. I was an indredibly Shyte batsman.
Great when the Ashes is on. I like winding up the English brother in law. Always fun!

Sorry about that number 9... good luck with the hot lady upstairs.
Try this
“The only thing that Norwich didn’t get was the goal that they finally got”.

Re: Who said that?
Not sure which quote we need focus on but going with the most recent to avoid unnecessary misleading.
Sports commentator / analysist, although where to begin is tough. Kevin Keegan maybe, he's got something of a history for that line of error.

Not KK. Was a goal-scorer like KK
Sports commentator/analyst is correct.... or he was after his playing days.

Not Andrew Gray is it. Moved into Sky Sports after a quite comprehensive (playing) career and accolade.

No. Not andy gray.
Probably more famous as a presenter than commentator / pundit. You could possibly do a double act with him, Saint.

Bats. Transylvania. Romania.
Hagi was far more prominent in European competition than domestic so assume it's comment on a particular World / Euro event.
Say Ron Atkinson as know he gets involved (or once was) in analysis of such nature.
