Re: Who said that?
Very surprised if SBR said it. His career started after Fulham. SBR’s words would (arguably) be , “Thank the sweet mother of Jaysus i left Fulham.”

Re: Who said that?
Not Jimmy or Sir Bobby. You'll laugh when you figure out who this person is. It will seem obvious to a degree. I don't want to give away too much, but this person had a managing career very similar to Robson.

Re: Who said that?
It's not Keegan is it. Clues and such would suggest a suitable response.
Played international level, managed at Fulham some time back etc. Achieved recognition at Liverpool / Newcastle, bigger club sides than the former.

Was only about 40 / 60 on a correct response, it went the right way, you can't dispute. Here is another round, updates within a few hours :
"Because whatever happens, this corporation will live up to the guiding principles of it's founder. Courage, strength, conviction. We will meet each new challenge with the same aggressive attitude"

Re: Who said that?
Can you imagine quoting Evans on something like that. It's an incorrect response.
As is Pat Cobbold. No, this is in fact a characterized name from an actor / actress, within a critically acclaimed film release. Not a movie for everyone.

Need a few more clues on this one. Male or Female? What decade was the film released? Thank you.

Same here, SJ.
Out of ideas also.
Although I initially thought of Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko.

Re: Who said that?
Both above responses incorrect. Don't know what else to add to this other than the movie in question has reached something of cult status and the actor played a figure of high authority in it's respective picture. The quote occurred towards the end of the film and subsequently provided one of the movies most memorable lines. Check back in say ten hours, got a lot to get on with today.

Re: Who said that?
Not the name you want or the film title with it. This is just going to go on and on with very limited participation, so will attempt (in the interest of fairness) to conclude this as soon as possible. No right answer within 48 hours then will reveal the name and movie in question.
Film release was in 1987, the actor also starred in another movie that year which has become somewhat forgotten over time.

Danny Devito.
Only because he was in Kindergarten Cop with Scwartzeneger.
I think I recall him in a film where he was a ruthless businessman trying to take over a smaller company ...alongside a younger actor. That might fit the dialogue.

No, he was in Twins with Schwarzenegger... not that it matters.tangfastic wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 11:50 amDanny Devito.

Re: Who said that?
Not him either. Something occurred to this actor / character that Eddie Murphy suffered in Beverly Hills Cop, although to much greater extent. They appeared in that same release together three years earlier. Featured in Total Recall with Schwarzenegger also.
Just giving it away now.

Re: Who said that?
Really have no idea.
I’m guessing it could be an older well-known supporting actor who could play the police chief/ corporate baddie.. someone like Brian Dehenny.
I can’t think of any other actors from Beverley Hills Cop or Total Recall ( apart from Sharon Stone). I just remember Murphy and Annie from those movies.
Charles Dance?

Ronny Cox, I'm not sure about the film although Amazon Women on the Moon was considered a cult classic.

Re: Who said that?
Was all ready to disclose the answer but seems the issue has been solved at the eleventh hour.
Yes, Ronny Cox (Richard "D1ck" Jones) was the actor / character in question (from the original Robocop release)
#9 has control of the round if so inclined.

Nice one, Number 9... never heard of him.
Did google him ... and he was also in Deliverance and was the bloke who played Duelling Banjo’s with the kid.
Must be a well-known supporting actor, but above my knowledge of movies.

Re: Who said that?
Okay, here's an easy one to get things going again. Let's stick with movies. What is this character's name?
"No, this is me in a nutshell: Help! I'm in a nutshell!"

Re: Who said that?
Always a great time in Taormina, 9. If I ever strike it lucky on the Euromillions, this will be my home from home. Definitely.
Who said this (movie quote)
“A SPOON? THAT IS A LADLE! YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT THAT IS A LADLE!”
