Re: Lambert sounds not too happy again
Taking PL's comments on board, I would say that Mach has far greater intellectual perspective and understanding of the way the club is being run than that of BlueMike and HallamBlue.

And taking his obvious frustrations on board and the way he handles himself, I would suggest he has far greater diplomacy skills than you
Perhaps we should get back to the donuts!
Yeah, no opinion is listened to today unless it's a very strong one, everything has to be massive change, massive improvement, massive turnaround and everyone wants it now!!!!

Re: Lambert sounds not too happy again
You obviously want a reaction ? Months in the wilderness and then you return with that ? I've not mentioned you in months so why call me out because I have a different view on things to you ? Is that such a problem ? I can react in the way you clearly want me to but I will need Frosty to remove my Mod status first as it will only put him in a difficult situation.
For what its worth though perhaps you and Mach with your greater intellectual perspective can give me the detailed explanation as to how the club goes forward without Evans writing the cheques and without any sign of a new rich benefactor, I did ask Mach yesterday but just got another passage of much the same stuff, it's not about loving Evans at all, more a sense of realism as to how a business works unfortunately. When Frosty removes the Mod thing we'll do this properly, your way.

Re: Lambert sounds not too happy again
May I suggest that all concerned call an end to the angst that seems to dominate this topic. It's starting to go round in circles and getting nastier & more personal by the minute. With respect, none of the bickering parties involved know what the hell is going on and would have no idea how to handle the whole business of running ITFC.
We are within 24 hours of the next chapter in ITFC history & who knows where we will be this time next leave. Just let it go & concentrate on supporting the manager, team & owner, because like it or not, we would be screwed without his present contribution.
Just saying!

And I'm just saying if people choose to call me out for no reason then expect a reply, it's that simple, I didn't choose it at all.

I think my reply was perfectly decent without the need for winding people up or insults, unlike some.

Re: Lambert sounds not too happy again
I think I’ve put on half a stone more than that on this holiday. Linguinie and Peronis for the past two weeks.
True story; a Krispy Kreme opened at the Hermiston Retail Park in Edinburgh YEARS ago. Never been there. Honest. Resisted the temptation because I just know it’d be coronary heart attack within a year.
And get this........ it’s a DRIVE THROUGH donut place. Drive through!!!! Not only are you going to put on masses of weight eating them, ...,, you don’t even have to get off your fat A$$ to buy them!
Progress!!

Following the Mings' sale 'saviour' Marcus funded the deals for such gems like Coke, Toure, Malarczyk, Yorwerth etc etc......tell us it was a sensible policy, eh? What a progress we've been making to date, eh?
Leon Best as a replacement for Murphy And you kept defending Evans.
Most have no idea how a business works, profit and loss and all that....... Aha ! When it comes to Evans' policy for the club your knowledge seems to be big Mike.
Not a double standards. It's actually funny when I hear number of people using Bolton/Bury situation to defend saviour Marcus. While our decline continues people will be using other clubs' problems to keep the torch for him. Even if we find ourselves in League Two or lower in the next few years.
Evans is just waiting for fans expectations to settle at a reasonable level then our crusade to fund the club on a League Two level can commence.
Mach, when will you get it?
We are ALL fed up of Evans, and can see he isn’t doing enough.
But to keep on and on and on about it in every thread or message on FB is now very boring.
If you can come up with a credible solution to his ownership please feel free to inform us all. I’m sure we would all be backing you. But we can’t do anything until HE decides to sell up, or change his strategy, other than stop going to support this Club.
I do really fear Lambert will walk before the end of this season if Evans doesn’t support him more. But I doubt Evans will be changing his ways anytime soon.
We are stuck with him, until HE decides to leave by which ever route.
Sometimes we just have to admit we are powerless to do anything. But if fans demonstrate to the level that he feels ,” oh sod it , that’s it”, and he pulls the rough from under the Club. There will be NO MORE ITFC! .
So yes we really do want Evans to sell up and leave ASAP. But the to hound him out until he’s found a buyer will have dire consequences for us all. The choice is yours Mach!

Back on here with your usual insults then I see Rossi. Obviously not a man of your word.
They say the true measure of insanity is to keep repeating the same mistake. You and and Mach appear to prove that very point.
Good day to you.

Isn’t that a saying from Nicolas Parsons on “Sale of the Century”?
“And now, from NORWICH, it’s the quiz of the week”....... cue cheesy 70s game show music.
You were in Norwich waaaaay too long, Hallam!

It was from Wheel of Fortune also you'll remember.
Could never comprehend the alternatives presented : i.e. a crystal vase, a new set of drapes - or a short break in Vienna, Amsterdam et cetera.
Absurd, but it somehow made for prime-time viewing.

Re: Lambert sounds not too happy again
So we can expect Marcus Evans to tell us what is going on with the lack of signings in the coming days, will be interesting.Boss Paul Lambert has urged Marcus Evans to “tell the fans what’s going on” in relation to the club’s incoming transfer situation, something he says he expects the Town owner to do.

Lambert, Evans and general manager of football operations Lee O’Neill spoke briefly in the stand after yesterday’s win at Burton, with all parties looking pleased following the result and with no sign of any acrimony. Evans and Lambert also met on Friday when the owner was at Playford Road.
“Me and Marcus get on really well, I said to you yesterday, we get on really well,” Lambert said when asked about their post-match chat.
“He’ll say his bit, I say my bit and somewhere we’ll hopefully meet in the middle.
“He’s as frustrated as everybody else that we can’t get players or money’s too high or we can’t get anybody in. He’s frustrated, he’s the owner of the club, it’s his club but, as I said yesterday, the support at the football club is phenomenal, that’s an incredible plus, it’s a brilliant club, it really is, a really brilliant club, the supporters make the club.”
Did they discuss the transfer situation when they spoke on Friday? “It is what it is, you asked me that yesterday. He’s frustrated, I’m frustrated, I don’t like it, maybe he doesn’t like it, it is what it is, we can’t go and buy anybody, simple as, we just can’t do it.
“He’s one owner who has put a helluva lot of money into it and if he’s not got the money to do it, fine, totally fine, but tell the fans what’s going on, which I’m pretty sure he will do.
“Tell the fans because that support there deserves to be kept in the loop about what’s going on, it’s too big a support, it’s too good a support and I think if that happens and everybody’s transparent it’s not a problem.
“But you get frustrated because if we lose James Wilson we have to put a midfielder [Cole Skuse] back to centre-half.
“I’ve got to mix and match when we don’t have players and for the size of the club I don’t think it’s not good. It’s not healthy for a club of this size not having a squad that can sustain maybe 60 games.”
Lambert says there has been no progress on bringing anyone in, while there is no interest in any of his players.
“None, as I stand right now there’s absolutely nothing going out, there’s nothing coming in as it stands right now,” he added.
I love Lambert, never thought I would say that a few years ago but if we lose him we are doomed.

If Lambert leaves, then I probably will stop watching Town. He’s the best thing that’s happened to ITFC in a long, long while.

What, six wins in 34 games or something, and got / oversaw the team relegated. No offense, but some would argue that particular logic.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 4:30 pmIf Lambert leaves, then I probably will stop watching Town. It's difficult to comment on the issue as there's two groups for it i.e. those in favor of Lambert, and those who don't believe in his abilities or the initial appointment was one of error. Perhaps a third category with those undecided but guessing a minority with it.
I think we're, or a great many, are pissed off considerably with the way this club has fallen away since the turn of the century, and not to castigate any one individual, no-one thus far has looked at any time like taking the team back to past stature. Could elaborate further but you think to yourself what's the point. All said it's old territory but the last few years and incidents have seriously eroded a good many's patience and expectations.
