James Wilson
Do you think Town should extend Wilson's contract beyond January. Even if its only to the end of the season.

Derick
I would offer him an extension to his contract until the end of the season from what I have seen of him.
Certainly has done better than what I expected and even though we have Woofie and Toto you never know when you are going to pick up injuries and suspensions.

Re: James Wilson
I think he deserves an extension to the end of the season. I’m struggling to see how Toto’s going to get into the side ATM.
The fact he plays on the left side of central defence and is very solid is a big bonus... as we have struggled to cover the left back.area.

Re: James Wilson
From what ive seen of him, yes. He is a no nonsense defender that plays it safe. And in this league he is more than decent enough.

Re: James Wilson
Well he’s played well enough to get attention from other clubs. He’s 30 and he’ll be wanting the best deal possible- 2 or 3 years.
Personally, I can’t see him as a Championship defender ASSUMING we go up. Think he’s good at this level, but too basic for the Championship. So maybe we won’t offer him a long deal in the event we do go up. He deserves a new deal, but would prefer we took a bit longer to see where we are around the New Year.
We could always play Toto instead of him to take him out of the shop window, but, at the moment, he deserves to play. 8 starts, 8 wins.

I agree with tang if either of those clubs come in with a longer term deal I’m sure he would take it. For the club it’s a no brainier to sign him to the end of the season and maybe an option of a further year. The club needs 4 centre backs for cover especially as we are playing 3 centre backs
