Don’t think he would want the job on a permanent basis.

Seriously thinking do I really want to go on Wednesday. Tbh if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s a ground I haven’t done before I probably wouldn’t bother.

To think, I was even considering going to this game (because Saturdays are out for me these days)! The lunch I had out with my wife in Norwich earlier was obviously the correct choice!

Rumour on TWTD saying bids in for Wolfe and Downes have been ongoing and might have caused major issues, I doubt it but something is very wrong.

Ok, so is it looking like Evans wants to sell downes and Woolfie..... to recoup losses due to relegation? Lambert is throwing his toys out the Pram and saying no? It would certainly be a kick in the teeth if our best two players went in January! I could see the logic in Paul being pissed off

If a championship side came in for them (rumours of Fulham and Millwall ) why would they want to stay?nicscreamer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:25 pmOk, so is it looking like Evans wants to sell downes and Woolfie..... to recoup losses due to relegation? Well if Evans did sell before our season was finished that would be it for me I think .Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:18 pmRumour on TWTD saying bids in for Wolfe and Downes have been ongoing and might have caused major issues, I doubt it but something is very wrong.

I totally agree about PL being pissed off. What manager wouldn't be if it is true.nicscreamer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:25 pmOk, so is it looking like Evans wants to sell downes and Woolfie..... to recoup losses due to relegation? Also, very short-sighred of Evans if he is serious about getting back the Championship. Didn't he say we are not a club that needs to sell?

Well, that was completely unacceptable.
PL's rotation policy has been a shambles but there seems to be something more going on. There is something fundamentally wrong at our club and we are in a downward spiral that is looking out of control.
I'm so disheartened right now.

I heard a rumour last game that Downes was rested because he was due to be sold. Yet played today.
Going back to facts ... we’ve been terrible for the last 2-3 months. Nothing to do with imminent sales. On paper we have a decent squad but the manager’s not getting enough out of them.
Evans has suddenly become the scapegoat from somewhere. Maybe he will be found out.... but management and players are the reason why we are playing badly.

Re: Lincoln City vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I can blame Lambert for sh*t line ups but once selected it is up to the players to perform
Norris... utter joke of a keeper
Judge...woeful delivery, can't tackle, offers nothing
Edwards.. . sh*t winger, sh*t defender, in fact just sh*t
Norwood...lazy beyond belief
Donacien.... so so limited going forward
Garbutt... great at free kicks, sh*t at everything else
Dozzell. .. so in and out it's untrue
Norris... utter joke of a keeper
Judge...woeful delivery, can't tackle, offers nothing
Edwards.. . sh*t winger, sh*t defender, in fact just sh*t
Norwood...lazy beyond belief

Nice post Nics, and I personally have been looking for answers to Paul’s weirdness past week....., and if he’s getting wind of his own player sales in January, like you, I can fully understand his anger.nicscreamer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:25 pmOk, so is it looking like Evans wants to sell downes and Woolfie..... to recoup losses due to relegation? Once the team is selected and i don't care who they are, or where they play, its then down to them to perform.
And yes Lambert for me needs to go back to roots where we are best formation wise and try to keep to square pegs in square holes

What about the centre backs ? Both Woolfenden and Chambers were terrible. Getting caught out by long balls.Bluemike wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 8:14 pmI can blame Lambert for sh*t line ups but once selected it is up to the players to perform

Somethings wrong.... decent or half-decent players are just not playing their game. Our squad may not be a automatic promotion squad, but we’re better than relegation form squad.

I gave up after Dozzell, needed a slash at Peterborough services, it was the highlight of the day, I had just watched 13 dicks for 90 mins and needed to sort my own out

I think they’ve become disinterested in Lamberts rotation approach . They never know from one week to next if they’re in the team ( it doesn’t matter how they play they could in it thru could be out) it’s soul destroying got a player. Why should they invest in this ?tangfastic wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 8:31 pmWhat about the centre backs ? Both Woolfenden and Chambers were terrible. Re: Lincoln City vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
It may (or may not ) be true that he's lost the dressing room. But BM's comments in the most part don't describe recent changes it's always been true. Norris has never inspired confidence. Judge has never performed for us. Edwards has always been a poor player. Donacien has never been great going forward and Dozzell has only just starmed to look like he might actually be mentally getting over his injury.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 9:10 pmI think they’ve become disinterested in Lamberts rotation approach . The exception is Norwood. He started the season working his arse off. Now he's short on confidence and short on running.
Regarding the rotation policy. ... after today, who would pick the same team for the next match? How many of today's team deserve to start?

Re: Lincoln City vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I think the issue for Norwood is he’s not getting the service. The amount of times the ball is played up to him in the air is beyond belief. He is not a target man he likes to run in behind the same as Jackson. We can not get the ball to stick up front.Andym wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 9:33 pmIt may (or may not ) be true that he's lost the dressing room. Jackson works his nuts off for 90 mins every game and chases and closes down everything, Norwood most definitely does not.

Just seen all the goals on twitter, The first 2 Lincoln goals are worse than I originally thought. Beaten too easily for the first and WTF for the second! More mistakes in one game than Holy in all his. Holy must surely get his place back after this performance.

I would seriously send Norris back, play Holy every game and have Pryzbek, who played so well at Peterborough on the bench, use our players ffs, f**king useless loanee.
