Re: Lambert Out
I do not want Lambert to leave, but along with others I suspect, I wondered what was going of in view of his comments on Boxing Day. I'm still not sure what he was really getting at to be honest.
Let's just hope that following yesterday's post match dressing room love-in the air will have been cleared & the players respond by thumping Wycombe.

Re: Lambert Out
Trouble is how many of these post match ‘love ins’ have they had? They all come out spouting the required message but what actually happens? Absolutely NOTHING changes!barmy billy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 5:35 pmI do not want Lambert to leave, but along with others I suspect, I wondered what was going of in view of his comments on Boxing Day. Re: Lambert Out
I think this is the first one, up until yesterday I firmly believe they all still thought it was a blip which would pass, clearly we can all see it has moved on from that.

Re: Lambert Out
That’ll be the difference between a Posh owner and an Ipswich owner.
Fergie will be sacked soon
Mevans allows 4 extra years.

Re: Lambert Out
Not one single person knows the answer to that question. It’ll always be ifs and buts.
I was drawing attention to how owners differ. I like Azzurros post in the other thread. IF Mevans is diligent and sees 4 years as positive, then as a fan, all you can do is go along with it.

Re: Lambert Out
While i vehemently do not agree with him getting a four year contract it is ridiculous to suggest he should be ousted.
In spite of the disastrous form we have shown in the last couple of months, our destiny is still in our own hands. We can still turn the season around and get promoted out of this hellhole of a division. Lambert needs to settle on his best team and best formation and stick with it. Enough fannying about.

Re: Lambert Out
About the one thing I can give ME credit for is giving managers time. Having said that, it is just as likely that he is simply too tight to pay the release compensation rather than it being a strategic thing...

Re: Lambert Out
There could be much truth in that. Can’t speak for anyone else but after seeing 2 of Mevans large interviews, he reminds me of the regular terracing fan, ie, when it comes to the actual nitty gritty of football, in reality, he knows Fk all.

Re: Lambert Out
Thanks Marko. No matter how anybody dresses this up, i feel this is an Evans masterstroke in ways. Back or Sack, and from an outside viewpoint, there must have been a very fine line indeed. I have no firm grounds to question the contract extension, indeed not one of us on here, unless a club insider, has firm facts. Yes performances have been shocking, Lincoln pushed my opinions of ITFC/PL to the limit, some will quite rightly point to the form table, but if ME backs his man, then so too shall i.marko69 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 7:19 pmNot one single person knows the answer to that question. Damn you Marko, cover blown! Will have to go back to the old 611-4 -ITFC moniker now.marko69 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 7:33 pmAnother post.
