^ Amen to the dropped part ^

Since the very first siting of the word "rotation" in a football sense, (and the first siting has been, for me anyway, this season) ....., always thought it's real meaning towards the cotton wool clad modern player is "dropped". No longer can a person be told they're not performing well. People used to really work hard at getting better. Not the entitled of today.

2020:
Norris: Why?
Lambo: just a wee experiment pal, nothing against you. You were FAN-TAS-TIC. Going to try something defensively with Tomas.

The 70s/80s
Norris: Why?
Lambo: Because you were absolute fkn sh!t out there and you cost the club 3pts. You better get working harder in training boyo or find another club. Wasting my fkn time with useless fkrs like you.

And 8 times out of 10, they'd come back stronger........, the other two were off setting up the cotton wool society
