Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Yes I feel very sorry for him. He’s such a lovely man ( when we spoke to him). I think if he did go to Bolton he’d thrive as there would be less pressure on him I think .
If you go, Good luck Toto

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
I know this’ll be a major disappointment tbh. He’s such a one trick pony and so one footed . I’m not sure TS would find League One that easy tbh , having been out of the English game now. Oh well, we shall see .

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
We have a kid here called Tommy Smith who came on towards the end of the cup game at Peterborough and looked very assured for one so young, we don't need another ageing has been Tommy Smith.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
If Norris and Toto both left in January it would be brilliant. They are both crap and would not be missed. Regarding the previous Tommy Smith i would sign him as cover all day. Also a goal threat at set pieces for us before the smart arses start.

Can't argue with the goal threat bit.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Quite agree Mike. I just think it’s going backwards. I’d much rather we sought an up and coming CB. But things do look like they are moving ( I know it’s rumours but no smoke without fire as they say)

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
I too think it would be going backwards, I'm never a fan of players returning once they've left

Not sure if it's relevant but I see Garbutt's salary is 1.456 million. Daily Mirror had published all Everton's salaries.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
I agree I think Tommy Smith if fit would certainly do a decent job for us. He was decent enough in the championship.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 9:04 pmIf Norris and Toto both left in January it would be brilliant. They are both crap and would not be missed. Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
If Nsiala goes we’d definately need a replacement. I can’t see any youngster coming through who could be a backup - Ndaba seems to have gone backwards.
I think it would be good for Toto to leave. He looks shot of any confidence. At times, he looks an accident waiting to happen. Lambert has given him chances to get his game back, but he looks ragged. A move elsewhere could do him good. Pity, I thought he’d be a big player this year.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
I see Luke Garbutt is on 28 grand a week at Everton, I wonder how much of that we are paying? And what's the chance of us paying him enough to make him want to play for Town, especially if we don't get promoted.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
For some reason, Everton gave him a five year contract at 21 on 28k per week. I guess they thought he would be a top player. He must have realised a while ago that once he’s out of contract he can’t demand anything like that. Probably why he hasn’t left Everton at the age of 26 - might as well bank the money and get loan deals down the ladder. I can’t see us paying that much of his wage - Everton would be picking up the greatest share of that.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 9:37 amI see Luke Garbutt is on 28 grand a week at Everton, I wonder how much of that we are paying? Maybe now Garbutt has got his pot of gold he might want to focus on establishing a career. I would have thought he’d be smart to wait until the summer before making a decision. We’re putting him in the shop window and I think Championship sides would be interested in him. I think we’d do well to keep him here - but maybe now he’s fleeced Everton for five years he might just want to find a permanent home.

With promotion, I can see Garbutt staying. Without... He will be gone quicker than my early morning log.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Lol Nic !!!!
As for Garbutt he was highly thought of when he broke through and looked upon as a big hope, clearly he didn't quite live up to the hype but he will play championship football next season, it's in our hands I guess.

I think the point is, is there anyone better on a free? He has limitations but At least you know what you would be getting. If there is better out there then so be it, get them in.

Gregor Macgregor : Twitter: Emile Smith Rowe about to sign on loan for Huddersfield Town from Arsenal. As we reported earlier this week, that has a knock-on effect for #BristolCity: ends interest in loaning Sam Szmodics, who will now more likely go to League One. #ITFC

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Gregor McGregor? Surely not.
Was on a job site back in the 90s, site foreman was called Ronald McDonald. What a very hard day to day life he had. I’d have stayed in my bed and never got up, ever.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Town Close to signing Lewis Gibson (Everton CB)
Ipswich Town are close to signing Everton central defender Lewis Gibson on loan, we understand.
The 19-year-old has been a vital member of the Toffees' Premier League 2 side since joining from Newcastle in the summer of 2017 but has not played any senior football aside from four EFL Trophy appearances for Everton's Under 21s.
The move to Portman Road would represent his first loan spell, following in the footsteps of Conor Grant, Callum Connolly and Matthew Pennington who have all spent time in Suffolk. The Blues currently have Luke Garbutt on loan from the Premier League club and are looking to make that switch permanent.
Gibson is an England Under 20 international, is left-footed and extremely comfortable on the ball, with Celtic said to have shown interest earlier in this transfer window.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Looks like Bart is on his way to Millwall permanently..... at a knock down price from out perspective as usual !
I think we should hold off until the summer tbh when other Clubs will be in the hunt for him again I suspect .
