Chester is such a lovely City watching a crap game played in 6” of mud could spoil a good weekend.
Not so lovely these days Charney. A lot of the high street shops have closed and the homeless live in the door ways. :(

Blimey it seems a problem everywhere. I’ve only been to Chester once and even then only stayed a couple of nights at a lovely hotel in the centre of the city. I think was call The Grosvenor or something very similar. Whatever it was called it was very nice.
The Grosvenor? £299 a night special deal at the moment not bad for 5 star.

Surely it would have to be the Presidential Suite at £995 per night. Absolute bargain.

Hey, Charny said in another thread that he likes 300 speed fibre? This Grosvenor better be equipped for £299 a night!

Seriously though......., I could win the lotto tonight and I still wouldn't pay £299 a night. They can shove that right up their hole.

Yeah but these hotels in Dundee haven't got room in their car-park for the full armour tank that is required for actually going to Dundee in the first place.

Hey Derek believe me or not we stayed in The Westminster Suite, I think it was one of the two best rooms in the hotel, it was like an apartment with a bedroom, lounge and dining table with at least six maybe eight chairs, probably the most lavish hotel room I’ve ever stayed in anywhere. Lucky for me and the missus we paid zero as it was paid for by a friend as a personal “thank you”.

To be honest it’s very unlikely I’d pay anything like £299 pn for any hotel room these days other than when we go to New York where it’s almost impossible to find any room for this price or less.

I’ll be joining you on crutches anytime soon Liz. At this moment I’m waiting in my room at Benidorm Hospital waiting to go into theatre for a knee op. I’m No 2 on the list and been here since 8am.

No golf for 6 weeks. 😟

Ahhh I spent new years eve in Dundee at Fat Sams watching Eddie Reader. Had a great night and didn't feel threatened at all by the mad Dundee bastards.... :-)

Fat Sam, Nics? That doesn’t narrow anything down with regards to Dundee. You could’ve been anywhere with that description, buddy! :D

I remember an old Hibee, (Scougall) sadly departed, giving a theory on away coach trips to Pittodrie. I was only about 16 Years old at the time.
“You ever noticed that we all have a laugh up through Fife, argue and bicker going over the Tay Bridge then have a laugh again closer to Aberdeen?”
“I thought it was just the bevvy kicking in, Scoogs?”
“Naw son. It’s Dundee. It is the depressing power of the low sky over the place.”

Believe it or not, Charnwood, my gran (96 years old, still drives) had two hips replaced and one knee.....,,, Regarding the other knee, she said, “NO CHANCE!” Other knee was too sore during recovery.
Not sure if you’re just getting surgery or replaced, but ANY knee pain is horrendous. Get better soon —-> plenty painkillers

Just surgery at this stage Marko, in the words of the surgeon it’s a bit of a mess but stable. It’s only a matter of time before it will need replacing but I’ll be putting it off as long as possible.

Not a good thing for anyone to be going through, even more so a golfer who plays most of the year in the better weather. Jaysus H, that must be frustrating. Hopefully you’re back on the golf course in no time. 👍
