Is this the way forward
or just a waste of money, everyone stands anyway.
Rail seating was installed in the South Bank last summer.

Re: Is this the way forward
I think you should either stand or sit, take out the seats and keep the rails. I prefer to stand
the only thing missing from that picture are the handcuffs for each seat, knowing our South Bank inhibiter's they will soon be installed,

The only problem with those seats are..........they are facing the pitch.

Looking back at your posting history on here and the lack of football knowledge, it really wouldn’t matter which way your seat faced as you seem to spend most of your time at matches with your head up you’re backside.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 1:50 pmThe only problem with those seats are..........they are facing the pitch.

I have forgotten more than you know and that is a fact. Any day you fancy a football quiz just let me know. You have proved once again your needless posts are not really worth reading or wanted. Is there a reason why you spend so much time talking crap on here? Have the other wolves seen through you and asked you to do one? Just for the record my post regarding the seats was a bit of fun obviously something you don't possess. I won't be responding to anymore more of your childish insults.goldandblack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 4:10 pmLooking back at your posting history on here and the lack of football knowledge, it really wouldn’t matter which way your seat faced as you seem to spend most of your time at matches with your head up you’re backside.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 1:50 pmThe only problem with those seats are..........they are facing the pitch.

Ok guys, absolutely crazy interaction going on here........, so a football quiz it is, FOR FUN, between two fans of football with connections to Ipswich Town FC , but who live in different cities, Chester and Wolverhampton.
Question 1. (NO GOOGLING........, obviously I had to google)
Chester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers have both played only twice before in league matches. It was Division 3 matches. (League One now)
2nd Jan 89, Wolves @ Home
29th March 89 Chester @ Home.
What were the results?

Thought you would have forgotten about that by nowderick_ipsw wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 8:05 amYou have never forgiven me for beating you to the caption competition title have you?
I am a bit worried about your health if I’m being honest, as someone who proclaims to have played more football and has forgotten more about football than others, I’m just concerned you may have been heading the ball too much over the years. Especially as the one you would have played with would have had stitches in it.

Karl-Heinz Alzheimer? Great goalie.
Were you a goalie in yer day, Deeko?
When I joined this place there was a forum member called "Seattle GK"......, he posted some great stuff about the performances of the goalies.

Back to the thread, I would say safe standing is a step too far. How many injuries happen even when people stand? Not enough. Being effectively en caged will not make the atmosphere any better.

Re: Is this the way forward
good thinking mate,
they only have them on the South Bank, (should have hand cuffs welded to the rail ) so never tried them, I think in Germany the grounds all have them so it wont be long before we all have them to, gone are the days when your feet never touched the ground half of the time.

I took my beer crate to games in the 80’s. Stood towards the corner of the west stand. Had it flat when up against the wall, even stood it on its end a couple of times when I could not get to the front. Health & safety your avin a laugh!
Agree some clubs will have it, Man U are going trial it with 1500 seats.

Things happen to create new ideas.
So what happened to generate this idea, Wolfie for the South Bank? Did an extremely inebriated fan topple forward during a game knocking people over like dominoes?

back in the 50s we as kids used to hire a wooden crate to stand on at the back, think it was as much as an old penny,Ando wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 11:00 amI took my beer crate to games in the 80’s. I think is was my handcuff idea that stared it, No they reckon it was to come in soon so like the Chinese they just had to be first, don't think they are to popular with the South Bankers, I thought they would feel at home.
