Everton v Ipswich Town FA Cup QF 1985

Is anyone else watching this MOTD Special on BBC 1.

Some great memories of my first trip to Goodson Park.

With catch up tv readily available I’ll say no more about the outcome.

Was anyone else on here at Goodison Park that day ?

Didn't get the opportunity to see it or realize the feature had been on. Remember the occasion well, ex-manager Harry Catterick suffered a heart attack at the venue and sadly lost a former great name who had performed a run of honors and put together an exceptional team between say 1966 - 71.

Game went to a replay and did get the chance to be in attendance at the actual Final event that year. Hated Whiteside for days after but credit where it's due it was a goal fitting to decide a Cup Final and were a young player of outstanding talent and ability. We actually signed him a few years after but had to retire at a relatively young age due to consistent injury problems.
