“I might struggle to make it into the hospital today, Mrs Hallamblue.”

“GET IN!!!”

“But I don’t think I’ll be able to. My car needs an MOT.”

“No, sorry Mrs McConnachie, I’m streaming the Ipswich game and Norwood is on the bench considering a Greggs YumYum up near his mouth.”

Losing 1-0 at h/t to be honest should be 3. The goal should not of stood though it was out of play. Town have had a couple of long range efforts. No Wolfey or kvy don't no why. Drinan playing again. Same problem for Town we get 10 yards over half way line and then go backwards.

Don't think You could tell if the ball as out of ply or not.

We are playing some decent enough stuff without really creating anything. Defence is a shambles.

Same old....

I have just switched off after 58 mins. We are losing 4-1. Holy at fault for the 3rd and Chambers for the 4th. You need to watch highlights for yourselves people it really is that bad. God help us when season starts.

Nsiala and Chambers. God I paid £10 for this defensive crap. Chambers cannot cope with a passing game

That is indeed part of the problem. it's not his game at all.

Sounds like it fell apart after Dozzell, Downes and Bishop all went off ?

We lost any hope of creativity then, although Huws has been lively (but Keeps shooting from 35 yards. )

The defence has been poor, we should have been at least 3 down by half time. We don't mark. We don't block. And give the ball away too easily.

Switched back on again caught last 13 mins. Ended 4-1. The passing out from the back just does not work I'm afraid I don't know what PL is going to do about it. We have a game Saturday then the Bristol Rovers cup game then it's the League. He does not know his best team yet it's a complete lottery.

I thought Chambers was a shoe-in in defence. Not so sure, now.

I quite enjoyed some of our football, but the defence was shocking.

Chambers needs to be at best on the bench
Nsiala really not much better. If Ndaba is too inexperienced and Wilson too injury prone then we need a new centre back quickly.

All in all apart from some dire defending not too shabby. Lots to be positive about i feel. The defence is the problem, for me as much as i like chambers and he has been a great servant to the club it was obvious last season that he is out of form. The ball over his head for the first and and mistake for the 3rd was not great defending. His experience is fantastic for the club but time to start on the bench now.Playing out from the back does not suit ipswich, we are not barcalona! Our midfeild and forwards have decent enough pace, get the ball up to them and let them run. As i said though, when town do get the ball out of our end we look ok, and have more than enough for league 1, but its now down to PL to get the best out of his squad. Maybe he has too many options which is why he rotates frequently but in my opinion its time to stick to a starting 11. Get the team playing as one , get some understanding and trust in each other and build on it. I know its easy to sit here and talk the talk and i know im never going to even manage my boys under 7s team let alone anything else but surely its plain to see that our playets dont really have an understanding of style or tactics due to lack of playing time together. Its not a rant, or finger pointing at chambo, quite the opposite. In a nutshell, stick with 11 and sort the back 4 ( well 2 cbs) and i really think we will be ok if the players can stay fit. 2 pre season gamrs against really good squads and apart from a few decent goals and some poor defending they did well. After watching these two games im actually looking forward to this season now after being totally uninterested at the end of last season.
