Stop Messi Around!
I'm sure many of you couldn't give a hoot, but the uncertain future of the best football player in the world certainly appeals to me. Rumours are surfacing he may go to Man City. Personally, I don't think that will ever happen. Messi has stated on numerous occasions he'd prefer not to live in the U.K. If he doesn't stay at Barcelona, I can see him following Ronaldo's footsteps (no pun) to the Italian league. Or, can the PSG monarchy tempt him with croissants and snails?
So my question is (if you care) where will the Messi-ah of modern football end up? And, does he have anything left to give?
*If you're not interested, like Charny says...DON'T READ IT!

Re: Stop Messi Around!
He’s off to the Central Coast Mariners or Melbourne Victory. Wants to live in Australia apparently.
The above is bullshit.
Read so much bullshit in newspapers today that I thought I’d join in.
I’m enjoying it.

I think he will go, god knows where, he once said he loves the game and its not about the money so I say prove it, go to Albion Rovers.

Re: Stop Messi Around!
My money would be on him joining Pep Guardiola at Man City, almost nailed on certainty.

I can’t see him being a success here in the PL if he comes.
It’s much faster and tougher than Spain and I can see him getting man-marked out of games with some rough treatment.
PSG seems more likely with the money and a weaker league to ease him into retirement and to protect his legacy.

Re: Stop Messi Around!
I don’t think there’s enough money in French football to make his signing viable. Man City are one of the very few clubs in the world who can afford to pay the £500m rumoured to be the total cost of a 2yr Messi deal.

Those figures can just as easily be manipulated or exaggerated. Imagine very few know to what extent or price the actual figures represent. One thing you can't abide is greed, f**king avarice, salaries and income reaching astronomical levels of madness. Why not ship out these "individuals" who play out these deals and transactions to some third world countries where people battle to survive day in day out through lack of clean water, food and hospitable living conditions. Some people haven't got a pot to p*ss in.
No it's all right we'll just throw around millions of designated currency to one or two sports players and wish everyone else well in their endeavors. Not jealousy wouldn't want such money to play around with. Just irritated to an extent that some can't see beyond their own bullshit or got their priorities in wrong position.

Football salaries are definitely out of control, but on the positive side there are organisations like "The Leo Messi Foundation" which is a very charitable organisation. He gives a lot to charity.
