Does make sense with the injuries and good to have a Plan B. Lambo’s gone for 4-3-3 all along so far, though .... and I think he’ll stick with that. Maybe Hawkins and Drinan will get a half each. Hawkins is another who’s only returned from injury and don’t think he’s got 90 minutes in him.Dubai Blue wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 1:30 pmMaybe it's going to be 4-4-2. We seem to be short of attacking options. Presumably Watkins & Sears to start. So you could add Judge to that trio for me or maybe go Skuse, Huws, Bishop, Dozzell. Or swap Judge for Dozzell.

Obviously I hope I’m wrong but I can’t help having this feeling of ‘Oh No’ here we go again with Lambert still in charge!

Possibly contentious, but there’s a chap on TWTD who claims to have inside info about the club and how there’s a lot of unhappiness with the way Lambo is running things and that he’s close to being fired.
He posted this line up for the Rovers game this morning saying this apparently this is the team this afternoon. Interesting to see how close this is to the real line-up.

Maybe that’s the plan !
I don’t think the players are behind PL now tbh . Things don’t sound that good at the ground to they ?

Here’s the team line up:
Town: Holy, Chambers (C), Nsiala, Woolfenden, Ward, Nolan, Dozzell, Bishop, Judge, Drinan, Sears
Subs: Cornell, Wilson, Ndaba, Huws, Lankester, Edwards, Hawkins
Looks like Skuse is unfit. Doesn’t make the squad.
Chambo at RB.
Nolan, Bishop and Dozzell in midfield. Looks like Judge has found his way back to the wing position.
With a week to go .... I would never have guessed that Drinan would be anywhere near the team.

Interesting to see how Drinan fairs today. He done ok at Ayr United, wasn’t disgraced by any means but he’s not that prolific, throughout his entire career really if Wiki is accurate. He must be doing well in training if Paul is giving the lad a chance. Hopefully there’s good reviews later today. Couple goals as well.

One notable absentee from the squad with all the injuries is El Mizouni.
And that’s with two CB’s on the bench ( and three on the pitch).

With you on this Mike. Fans will always speculate, there'll always be someone with inside information Etc. The world is full of conspiracy theories, and while there might be tell tale signs (to some) that all is not well at PR, i will wait until i see some solid evidence. Just a matter of a week, or so ago, many were up in arms that a few younger players were missing from a photo call! Turned out to be a Journalist twisting things just to get a headline!

1-0 Town, lovely goal from Sears, assist by the very impressive Drinan after a super ball through from Toto. Bossed most of the first half hour, Judge missed golden chance early doors. Some impressive stuff so far.

Town deserve to be in front. Two good goals Nolan and Dozzell the only weak links i feel. Dozzell did play 1 decent pass judge should of scored. Holy made a good stop.

So far so good. Chambers looks a different player at right back!! Maybe seen a few comments online with his goal celebration dozzell doing ok, a couple of great balls, and drinan looking hungry ( not for deep fried mars bars marko!) . Be nice to get another goal early second half and maybe get a look at ollie ollie ollie , goal goal goal!!

Dozzell run the game last 15 mins, not so great off the ball but he is not that type of player. Hope he is given a long run in the team.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 3:52 pmTown deserve to be in front. Two good goals Nolan and Dozzell the only weak links i feel. Agreed , I thought Dozzell was good after first few mins, Nolan though is indeed weak. Interesting for me is that Toto looks the more solid CB, Woolfy in and out at times and looks hesitant sometimes, Ward and Chambo did well, Bishop was close a couple of times to running right through into the box. Drinan is like a new signing and leads the line well. Early days but some good signs.

Fair play to Drinan. Sounds like he’s taking his chance.

7 shots on target after 60 minutes sounds promising too.

So far, 14 shots. TEN on target? That’s brilliant. What an Improvement in that area.
