Fulham at home in Round Two, should we somehow win that we would be at home again in Round Three to either Rochdale or Sheff Wed.

I can't imagine Scott Parker would want to muck about in cup competitions. He's gonna have PL survival as the priority this season. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a weakened Fulham squad for the match.

Oh well nice while it lasted then ! I don’t mind going out of the cups this season as early as possible as possible, as for for me and I’m sure all of you, the league is the only thing that matters this season.

Early season Cup games can be used to experiment with formations, tactics and use of fringe players which makes involvement worthwhile. This has to make more sense than doing the same in early season league matches where finding a settled side is more important.

Towns game might end up on TV looking at the fixtures
Especially with the cameras already there for the Wigan game.

If we win it'll be a "giant killing" won't it. Ridiculous not too long ago but we are where we're at. Would be quite impressive eliminating an EPL name from the competition and with a home advantage and showing same level of desire and ambition as the Bristol event all things are possible.

Winnable third round thereafter as someone put it, go beyond that and with it going good in the League it could make for a promising end of year. Lambert needs to emphasize to himself and players the need for strong squads when need arises, show same level of commitment as before.

The problem for us is that Arsenal always take Cup games seriously and a.ways look to stay the distance.

Well I was wrong, it's looking like Parker will be picking a strong squad after all. He has four new signings to blood since they were not available for the Arsenal match. I'm also hearing Mitrovic will play. Oh dear, this could be ugly.
